View Full Version : immunisation grizzles - question
Just a quick question - how long can bub be "off colour" for after he received his immunisations? My DS just had his 8 week immunisations two days ago and he is still really grizzly and just in general not as happy as normal and obviously uncomfortable and feeling a little sad and sorry and maybe a little ill. Does anyone know if it is normal for it to still be happening almost 48 hours after immunisation? How long does it last for?
Thanks!
My baby also grizzled for about two days after her 8 week injections - lots of cuddles and some panadol were required to get her through. My first daughter had no reaction to any of her injections (apart from a quick cry) so it definitely differs with each child.
yes, lots of cuddles and snuggle times is definitely what bub (and mum!!) need... I think it's working... He seems much more cheery this afternoon (he's cooing and gaahing in his cot right now instead of sleeping - bless him!) :p
hi
i know how scary it can be when your little one "reacts" to the vaccines my first ds didnt ever have approblem but my 2nd ds is so sad after each one for afew days ,
but i have taken him back acouple of times because i just wasnt sure what was going on i figure its better to be safe than sorry most gps would understand a mums worry over something that can be so serious .
