Hello mum's,
Thought i would start a new thread about teething so other mums out ther can grab a few hint, no my first is:
1: Wet a washer and place about two cubes of ice onto it, tie a hairtie around the ice and the washer so u have a lil knob of ice at one end and the 4 corners flopping at the other, then grab something to smash up the ice and give to your baby to suck on... Worked a treat for all of my nephews and my 3 year old nephew still love it today....
2: Give your baby a bath now i no this isnt always possible but if it is they will love it, my son loves baths and he then knows i love him and want to make him happy, speccially when i get in there with him....
3:The obvious, now i no most teethers say not to freeze but let me tell u 20-30 min in the freezer is not gunna hurt the teether or your baby...
4: take your baby for a walk now i no that as soon as u stop they start screaming again but just remenber u had that 20min of peace... aaahhhh PEACE..Try to time it when there bottle is due and after 15min walkin pop it ina nd hopefully they will be asleep before u get bak home...(if your baby is bottle fed, durr)
5: rusks, rusks are the best thank god for rusks, and they come in vegie flavor for the over 6 months but ashton has had them from 4, really not going to harm your lil bundle, apply a lil bit of vegiemite to the rusk, kids love vegiemite...

well i think thats enough i hope this helps..
Love ashton and jessie:fingerscrossed:

You will need:

1 piece of muslin cloth
1 piece of string
1 small apple (grated)
1 clove (grated)

Mix the apple and the clove together and put into the middle of the muslin cloth and then tie up tightly. Give to bub to chew on and the cloves will do wonders to numb that nasty gum!

DD used to love to chew on a stick of icy cold celery - I think you are supposed to remove the long stringy fibres on the outside, but (shhhh) we never bothered and never had a problem!

She also loved the Brauer's teething potion - and would happily suck the liquid out of the dropper! I didn't have to coax her to have it at all.
