Well i was just wondering where everyone is at with weight gain etc... IF you want to share!
I am still exactly the same. 0 lost, 0 gained. Am now 15 weeks. :yelclap: not that i have been trying, but i just haven't felt up to eating like i used to! no :barf:here either! LOL
But i am overweight anyway, so my DR isn't at all worried.
But am just wondering how everyone else is going.
(BTW... i put on 14kg with my first son, and 9kg with my 2nd by the end... but lost 5 in the first trimester with DS2)

I'm not weighing myself this time and my midwife and ob said they aren't ineterested in my weight - which I'm glad about.
I currently weight about 85kgs - so of course I'm really watching what I eat etc.
I never lost the weight I put on with DS - I know I'm going to find it hard as I get closer to having bub - but, there is nothing I can really do about it now other than eating as healthy as I can.
YOu can actually loose weight while you are pregnant or your weight can even out a bit - which is what I am hoping for as I have cut out heaps of rubbish and think twice about eating certain things. Also, I find I am just really not hungry so I really have to make an effort to eat dinner which is about half the size of what I used to eat.

:iagree: I have been much more likely to have my main meal at lunch time now, and a small meal/snack at dinner instead.
As most of you have probably seen on the January Chatter thread, I have lost 10kg and am almost 15 weeks. This has absolutely NOT been intentional, however at approx 100kgs, I had it to lose. Feeling much happier now, although nature is cruel - I still can't fit in to smaller sizes as my tummy has not shrunk at all!! Hasn't grown, but hasn't shrunk!
My GP is not at all concerned, in fact, he is quite pleased. All I have really done is stop eating rubbish!
Anyhow, I guess nature will take it's course, and as long as I am eating good food, baby will be fine!

I'm a bit disappointed with my weight gain so far actually....
When I found out I was pregnant, I was already 4 kgs over what I should have been (due to eating too many naughty sweets at night time in a bid to combat loneliness!!!), so I started 4 kg over.
So, up to date, at 17 weeks, I have put on a little over 6kg  I'm back to eating my normal foods each day, and back to exercising, so I hope it will stay put at that for a little while yet!!
I only put on 11kg with DS1, then 9kg with DS2, a little more with DS3 - I think almost 15kg. I don't have much trouble getting it back off again though, which I guess is one good thing, but with each pregnancy, they say you generally hold on to 1-2 extra kgs!! I hope not, seeing as though I was those 4kg ahead to start with!

don't know what i am at the moment, but i don't think i've put on much, i lost 3 kg in the first 9 weeks and a lot of people have said i look thinner so god only knows!
m2be i'm the same, just not hungry at night, but starving during the day, been eating too much chocolate though, gonna have to get on top of that one!
hoping to start swimming and getting more excercise in general, just been too tired lately

I lost 7kgs in the beginning which put me back to about 63kgs as I was so sick and couldn't eat anything without being :barf:
I think I am probably back up to about 67kgs and I'm not nearly 16 weeks so I'm happy with that.
Only put on about 8kgs with the girls because I lost so much in the beginning. Still can't stand the thought of food but at least I can eat now so my body can function at least and I've gone mad on Cottees Coola Cordial!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I LOVE IT!!!!!

I had lost 3kg just before getting pregnant but unfortunately as soon as I got the BFP I put that on straight away (but I guess that often happens when you lose weight if you don't maintain it:crying:) Anyway since then (ie the first month) I have put on only 1kg so I'm happy with my weight gain so far at a total of 4kg. I didn't have much m/s so no reason to have lost any.
Last time with DD I started a little heavier and also put on 17kg so I am determined not to put on that much again. Saying that though, I lost nearly 10kg at the birth and another 2kg in retained fluid just in the first few weeks so a lot of the weight was BIG baby, BIG placenta and lots of fluid. Now I know how my body works I am aiming to put on around 12kg if possible.

I lost nearly 10kg's during the first trimester which was great cause i started out overweight as it was and the docs haven't been worried about it. I'm now 17 weeks and i've put back on only 2kg's and hope to only put a total of 10kg's on.

Hi Ladies,
I'm 15.5 weeks.
I started at around 87kg and have put on about 2 kg so far I think.
I spoke to my OB who doesn't seem to be worried about it, he said I should put on around 15kg over the pregnancy and he would only be concerned if I put on more than that.
Pretty happy really with the way things are going.
Stay well mums and bubs!

Hello
I'm 16 weeks and have put on 2kg. So I'm now 63kg.
I know why though, eating to try to sort out nausia and morning sickness!!
Oh well, healthy is all that matters :)

I'm sorry to say that I'm 17 weeks & I have gained 10kg :hissy:
I can't believe it...I only put on 12kg with DS so I'm pretty worried. I'm going to talk to my doc about it next week & see what he says. I started 5kg heavier this time as I had a little baby weight left from DS.
As I haven't had a scan yet, we're yet to see if I am having twins...something I have a hunch about as the weight gain has been so rapid this time. If it's not twins then it's gotta be a girl - we find out next week :smiliedance:
I told the midwife today & she didn't seem too concerned...she just said you hold more fluid some pregnancies than others.

well 15 weeks + 2 days I have put on about 1kg...up to 89kg (i am quite tall tho so I carry it well) I will just try and eat well...no going overboard with dieting here.
Saying that I put on about 20kg with the first and took it all off again within 4 weeks of giving birth....Hope BFing helps that much again this time :fingerscrossed:

2.5 kg here at 16 weeks, I put on 30 kg with DD hope not to do that again, but in saying that it was all gone by the time she was 8 weeks old, gotta love the BF.

Ok...now I'm starting to really convince myself I'm having a girl. Everyone's posts I've read & people I've spoken to who have had a girl have put on a lot more weight than a boy. I only put on 12kg with DS & 10kg already has truely shocked me because I'm actually eating less **** & meat this time because I just want salad & fruit most the time. Here's keeping my :fingerscrossed: that's what it is :)

Jasserben - Interesting theory. I haven't put on much weight this time so far but with DD I put on 17kg so maybe you are onto something:D
I wouldn't worry about it too much though. Maybe you will slow down now for the next couple of months and then put some more on at the end??
I'm jealous of the mums who lost heaps of weight breastfeeding. I b/f my DD but didn't lose any at all until I went on the CSIRO diet when DD was 7mo. Then I got back to pre-preg weight again and even took some more off too (and kept it off too :smiliedance:). My body seems to hold onto fat when I am b/f.:(

My gyno told me the other day that weight monitoring whilst pregnant is very old school and they don't do it anymore. I have no idea how much I have put on already, but I don't think much, I don't feel it anyways. I don't own a set of scales and can only guess where I may of started from in weight. I put on 26kgs with my first son, and boy I really hope I don't get anywhere near that this time round.
My gyno also doesn't test urine and says that blood pressure is the best indication for pre-eclampsia.
