I was on my first cycle of ivf, i had the blood test and it was a negative. I am 24 years of age and they transferred an 8 cell embryo so what went wrong? why didnt it stick? I was feeling so confident i was feeling tired, felt nauseaus and was just feeling good about it all. AF didnt arrive so i though all was good.

Im off to see my ivf dr on the 4th of april. I have 3 embryos in the freezer so hopefully one of them will be the one that i fall preg with :fingerscrossed:

Good luck to all those that are trying and thank you for taking the time to read this.

Hi Cindy-Lee My name is Mandy and I too had an ET transfer last month - I got my BFN on 7 March. I jumped straight back and have again had a FET on 24 March. (hopefully better luck this month) I understand what you are saying about why it didn't work. Last month I too had all the right symptoms. Feeling sick every night around the same time for the last week. Hot flushes on and off. I kept a diary so I could probably give you more details. I do know that we get all of these symptoms from the progestrone that we are getting - but its all very dissappointing hey. I had 2 embryos transferred last month - an 8 cell and a 10 cell. I am seeking all the same questions as yourself - why didn't they stick? I even asked the Dr if he could check if they are allergic to me???
My Dr here is just fantastic and I am really happy BUT saying that, his explanation is that every egg was not meant to be a baby. My DH has been my rock he keeps saying to me "do it again and again until we get it right". Sometimes it just gets too much for me. This is now my 4th attempt but after my second I had to give myself 12 months off. Just couldn't take the dissappointment.
Me - I'm secretly going mad. Took 2 weeks off work to just chill out this time. I'm beginning to think it was a bad move because i'm just so focussed on this too much now. This FET I had 2 morulas transferred. DR and scientist were both just so excited. Now I'm scared to think that its a really good sign and get my hopes up too high. On the other hand don't want to give off too many negatives.
Good luck with your Dr appointment:ecomcity:

Thank you Mandymoo i hope all goes well for you this time. i have my fingers crossed for you :fingerscrossed:. When i got my BFN i didnt realise i would be down for so long. Ive only just started to pick myself up again and feel better. I have had 3 BFN 2 with IUI's and 1 with the GIFT and i had never been so down when i had recieved a negative but with this failed attempt at IVF it was like i had m/c or something. sorry to blabber on :ecomcity:

fablis thankyou for your reply, i really hope that this FET will be the one where i get the BFP too!! :fingerscrossed:

Hi Cindy-Lee,
Just been reading your posts.....
So far I am happy with Monash Clayton....
I am sorry that you have had a bad experience at Richmond.
You have to do what is right for you.... if you like your doctor and not the nurse, maybe you can ask your doctor to change your nurses for you. But then again they all talk and might be annoyed that you didn't like one nurse, etc... But they have to know that a Nurse is not being supportive and friendly, etc... I honestly think that is part of their job... You have feel that you can call them for any reason, etc....
Come and join the other thread.... that's where we all hang out....
Take care hun and let us know what you decide.....
