I have had the rubella shot(I think), 6 times in the last 7yrs, and my immunity is still only 32, I am curious why my body is absorbing this particular vaccine, has any 1 had something similar happen to you.I'ts very frustrating:banghead:

Does the body absorb vaccines? I would have thought they just wear off.

Sounds pointless to continue getting this particular vax repetitively if that's the case.
Can't be good for your poor body either.

I agree Meljellybean, I was told that my body is absorbing it very fast, I dont think that it is wearing off because, there is not much time between my pregnancies, some are only 11/12 mths, it is really annoying me atm I am thinking of not having it done when my next bub is born.

I know of two women now .. who this happens to - they have had the vax several times, and no immunity (yet they respond well to other vaccinations/?) who knows why !!???

I guess all you can do is be careful during pregnancies, and hope that your body doesn't respond to the actual disease???

I have been vaxxed twice, and have no immunity at all. Interestingly, my mother is exactly the same, she had it 3 times and it was not effective either.

Also interesting to note is that I have had CP 3 times, and two other females in my family have had it more than once as well.

Just another factor I took into account when deciding if I should vax my children or not.

My most recent vax of rubella was three years ago (on top of the ones I would have had as a child) and I have very low immunity, I believe it was 40 when I fell pregnant. Interestingly I also got the CP vax at the same time and I found out I have absolutely no immunity. So I wonder if my body 'accepts' these vaccines or not, what impact that has on other vaccinations I've had, and whether I should bother trying to get my levels up before the next pregnancy?

I've had the actual illness and I have full immunity 20 years later. I'm glad I don't have to keep having jabs.

All the mum's who have had german measles as a kid do you have full immunity now as an adult, that's fantastic you don't have to worry about having shots after having your bub's, I have decided not to have any more rubella shots, they hurt anyway.
