Has anyone had bub @ Hills Private Hospital (NSW)

Hi All, I and my wife just live so close to the Hills Private Hospital (Baulkham Hills, NSW).
So naturally, it first came to my mind, and I wonder if any of you had good/bad experience to share with us, when you had your baby there.
It used to be Mayne Health Centre, if I'm not wrong...?

HI, I know its been a while since you posted but just incase you are still wondering..... yes it did used to be a Mayne Health hospital. I haven't had a baby there but I am due to support a woman having a baby there in May so will let you know what its like. My doctor advised me not to go there as the facilities weren't the most modern but from all accounts that I have heard and what I have now experienced, that really isn't an issue plus the childrens hospital is so close if need be. I have heard it is very good and I think I would consider going there next time around. One thing to note though it is the highest or second highest c-section rate in NSW but that is more a reflection on the obs than the hospital so I would check out your obs stats if you decide to go there. Why dont you take a hospital tour? they do it on Saturdays and Thursdays I think it is.

One of my husband's friends and his wife had their baby there. They seemed quite happy with it. The only thing I thought was a bit strange (but might be common practice amongst some hospys) was that you had to b/f your baby in the feeding room and weren't allowed to do it in your own room. I guess that can be a positive and a negative depending on how you look at it though.

many friends have had their babies there mother of 3 had no problems but a friend who had first bub by ceaser was not so impressed. i had my bub at blacktown where u can also go private and get your own room. i hated the hospital stay but loved the midwives what a great place to give birth. by the way hills private is the only place who will circumcise from what i have heard so something to look into if u are thinking of that.

We are going for Westmead Private - it looks all right to us.

(Did not think about circumcise, but for now, I think I have more than enough to think about...)
