Hi susmumma - I am one of the mad ones!
After a lot of soul-searching, and 2 years of saying "I've definatly finished", we decided on this little angel. I often think about what I'm getting myself in for, and have no idea!
I am looking forward to the birth (I know, I'm crazy), coz I just cant wait for that first minute when I meet this poppet. However, the whole idea of having three to look after, and I only have 2 hands, is very frightening! Luckily neither of my girls are "runners", and are both pretty good kids. When this one comes, Bay will be 4yrs 11mths, and Kaidy will be 3yrs 4mths. Old enough to know to listen hopefully! (and maybe help out a little too)

This will be baby # 3 for us. I have two girls also. I'm not really nervous about having three. I do have moments when I think what I would do in a particular situation....especially when the girls are being naughty!

We planned this baby so that I will have only one little one at home for most of the day as opposed to two little ones. So I am looking forward to that.

Number 3 for us as well :sunshine:
We have 2 girls who will be 2yr 9mth, 4yr 9 mth. We are hoping for a boy this time around , but I can really imagine having 3 little girls!!

i don't think it'll be too bad having 3, as the eldest will be a great help (as she is now) and the youngest should be more settled by then too..:flowerz:

I totally understand what you are saying susmamma:laughing: we are maybe alittle crazy, but gee when i look at my kids playing nicely(hahaha) i cant help but want to give them a little brother or sister. I do have one of the 'runner' that were mentioned before, so i am going to get a harness, i would hate for soemthing to happen to him because i couldnt chase him from running in front of a car, but other than that DD is starting prep so she will not be home most of the day. I am scared sh!tless, but at the same time so excited:yelclap:

This is number 3 for for me to.
Jack will be 3 & Alex wil be 16 months. Somtimes I think what am I doing if this baby comes 2 weeks early I will have 3 under 3 OMG. I always wanted my kids close together and both the boys are really easy kids that love there sleep so:fingerscrossed: I get another like that.

I'm thinking along the same lines as you.... I have 2 boys now... When our baby comes, Liam will be 4 & 10 months and Jayden will be 2 and 11 months.... I'm not toooo worried about having 3 kids, just hoping that Jayden - my youngest - (he's the difficult one) has settled a bit more by then - being a little older he will hopefully be easier to manage!:fingerscrossed:
But, Liam my big boy will be a champion!! He is such a great kid, and I know he will be a great help! He is SOOO excited about the baby & is really hoping for a baby sister! LOL

hi gals, well we're all officially crazy then ay?

will be interesting to see how we go getting more and more preg with our two rugrats running around and 3kidsmum you'll have 3 already (you are the craziest of us all! :D)

i look forward to joining you all on the rest of this pregnancy.

for me my youngest will be almost 2 and my eldest will be 3 and 7 months.
yes we're all mad, but i agree with the getting the mad years out the way in one go!

good luck to a healthy and happy pregnancy for us all.
this time i plan not to turn into a blubber chubber. i used to eat sugar all day and night for energy which of course translates into nice roomy thighs and belly and chubby cheeks LOL.
this time i plan to be all yoga mamma and eat carrots
i say that every pregnancy!
but this time I MEAN IT!
carrot stew, carrot sandwiches, carrot shakes, carrot tea, carrot wine, carrot cornflakes... actually maybe i need to add some cabbage in to spice it up.

susmamma I see in your Sig that you have ordered a boy, we have ordered a girl so if thay mix up our orders we can swap :p:shame: Just kidding.
I tried the carrot thing and all it did was give me better vision to see my love handles and strechies so its back to chocolate for me.lol

i'm up for a swap, although i will warn you, she'll have my husbands genes ...

as for the carrots... mate that is not good news. maybe i should do cabbage then... i hear cabbage taken in copious quantities has excellent weight loss properties... also alientates a lot of people due to flatulance, win win in my book :D

I am having the same issue!! Dont think I am "showing" as such, but my tummy feels so bloated and just really uncomfortable wearing my normal pants!!
But... given that I showed early with my last 2, wont be surprised if I pop out very soon!!
Kinda feels a bit premature having to wear Maternity pants already! LOL

I just lost the overhang from having number 3. Only takes 2 years for me to get over a pregnancy. Well almost.*sigh*
I just started to walk an hour three times week. Its going to look strange when I put on weight but I hope I look healthier.

Hi girls - I know what you're talkign about.
I've had strangers ask when I'm due, and my 4 year old is always asking me why my tummy has gotten so big!
I am so frustrated also, because I worked really hard to lose 15kg after DD2 (still had about 25kg to go), and now I just look podgy again! At least by night time I look preggers! Going to the GP today to find out if I'm actually BFP (I'm convinced!), and am planning to ask her about it then.
Cheers

Nothing dramatic - just haven't had it confirmed by a doctor yet, and given that I had a m/c last month, I need to work out exactly how far i'd be, coz I technically haven't had a period - my last period was actually in October! also wanna verify if this is a new pg, or if I miscarried a twin (highly doubtful). if that's the case, I'd be 12 weeks already - that's just wishful thinking I believe! They'll probably send me to get an u/s to see how far I am.

Are you testing positive with HPT?

cassvanm
22-01-2008, 01:29 PM
This is how it went:
Fell pg in Nov, and was due 1st August. M/c after spotting (5.12) and lost the baby on the 8th - definately passed some conception tissue. I was 5-6wks. My HCG levels went down from about 360 to 90 by Friday 7th December. So definately miscarried a bub.
took a HPT on the 2nd Jan (approx) and tested neg. Did this coz I'd read that you can have a false positive up to 6wks after a m/c, so just wanted to make sure my hormone levels had dropped way back down, which they had. Therefore I knew if I tested again coz my AF was late, then I wouldnt' read a false positive. I then had two HPT on the 9th & 10th of Jan, both of which were postive. I was having the symptoms (sore breasts, extreme tiredness. AF was possibly late), and went to the dr on the Thurs (10th) for my DD2. Asked Dr about it, and she said make an appt, so thats what tonight is.
Is that clear as mud? I tend to waffle and lose people in my story telling! :ecomcity:
I am definately pg, just need to start the ante-natal medical care - not a problem. :)

well you're definately pregnant :D and very fertile by the sounds of it.
i'd say you ovulated after your m/s and got 'knocked up' hence the lack of AF between.
Apparently you're quite fertile after a m/s.
I wouldnt have thought you'd lost a twin (re previous post) cos the hcg levels would have remained high enough to continue to test postive when you were in fact getting a negative.

good luck tonight at the drs. i'd have thought you'll need a dating scan because who knows when you actually ended up ovulating and you dont have a LMP to go off.

let us know what the dr has to say xx

I am already sick of the OMG from everyone about having bub#3, Not only is it bub #3 but it will be 3 kids in 3 years so I get double OMG are you CRAZY. Ok yes I am crazy but you dont have to keep telling me lol.
We should of waited to get the new car its a bit of a give away when you buy a people mover that more babies are coming soon.
Welcome Vanillabean

i know!
in fact i was a bit nervous about telling one friend (frankly i should know better than to go around telling all and sundry at this early stage but i'm not much chop at keeping it to myself).
this friend is always vaguely disapproving that i'm having more children and even less vaguely disapproving about them being so close together.

I actually had a miscarriage last month as well on the 5th of December, I was 7weeks 2 days along but the baby stopped growing at 6wks. We actually saw the heartbeat and then 3 days later it had stopped.

I am pregnant now again with no AF in between. I ovulated on the 3 rd January, so that is the date that I use to calculate my due date. Goodluck at the drs.

Are you feeling nervous about this pregnancy? Because I am very nervous.

I actually have a really positive outlook with the pg. I feel that it's meant to be, so all I can do is just wait.
I feel that if I get really nervous about it, I won't be able to enjoy it as much. Enjoying it is very important for me, coz this is it for me! Last one (obviously if I m/c again, we'll continue trying for bub #3).

I only got my :bfp: yesterday, but I am starting to have very panicky thoughts just thinking about it. Even though it was planned, it took us 6 months this time as opposed to very quickly the last 2 times. I was just starting to think to myself how nice it was with 2. So needless to say I fairly shocked yesterday when I got two big lines and very strong ones at that. I will be going to the Dr in a couple of weeks and because I have had irregular periods, I think I need a scan to check dates. Does anyone else feel the same? DH is very happy and we have only told our parents and they are happy too, but I can't seem to shake that feeling that our lives will be VERY different with 3. Sorry about my rambling.

Has any one else had a 'split pelvis' before, the proper name is Symphysis pubis dysfunction, but not even the mediacl professtional seem to call it that. I am asking becasue i am really worried about that, getting it again and would love to chat to soemone about it if they have had it:(

Well I still haven't been. I will maybe go next week and see my GP otherwise I will just wait until my ob appt which is on 15th Feb. Either way if I wait for my OB appt I will be 8wks and I have an u/s scheduled anyway or I have one at 6 or 7 weeks with my gp. So I think I am going to just wait. Save all the dramas of dragging the kids to different drs etc especially with school starting. Thanks for asking.

Hi all! I too am expecting #3 in late Sept (date yet to be confirmed). My daughter will be 4 1/2 and my son 22 months by then. I'm starting to wonder whether we've gone too early with the third one... Even though this is the third time I am still amazingly excited and so (seem to be) are our fam and friends. I didn't think I could be as excited as with the first baby, but apparently I was wrong. Do others feel the same way?

:iagree: I think I feel more excited about having this third baby than either of the other two. Maybe it's cos we know what we're up for this time? I am so excited about being pregnant with this baby and feel little bubbles of joys every so often. It's great, especially being as I thought I might be full of dread that I wouldnt be able to cope etc etc.

Hi I think I had this, I can't quite remember it's name but it definately had the pubis word in it and it was horrible!

I had the pain basically right on top of the pubic bone and it was dreadful. I had it with #1 and I didn't have it all with #2. Which was a total surprise to me as I thought for sure I was bound to get it again second timea round. So I am trying to remain hopeful that I don't get it with this one.

I think I was just past the 20 week mark when I got it and I remember shopping with my sister and having to sit down every few minutes and put my hand over the top of it and massage it for a few minutes. It looked like I was playing with myself, but I didn't care, I just wanted relief. Unfortuately it got really bad during the last trimester.

Apparrently, footballers get it too! So I dreading it, fingers crossed we don't get it again.

I'm expecting bubby #3 as well. DD will be just 3, and DS will be 18 months. But hey, I'm not too worried, I'll be fine. Won't I? WON'T I???????
