Does anyone know where I can get either online or at a shop a mosquito net on a stand or one that hooks onto the end of the cot?! I went into a baby shop the other day and they wanted $100!! I think i could make one cheaper than that!

I got my mosquito net and stand for $60 bucks at a little wonders baby store, most baby stores have them so keep looking around.

Oh cool, thanks so much for that. Might have a look in Darwin while i'm back up there. I thought surely that I would be able to find one online, but so far i haven't been able to find anything.

I dunno if the ones that go on the single beds are the same or not?? but you can get them from places like spotlight or Big W ranging from 15-20 bucks and you just hang them from the roof. Not sure if they fit on the standard stands but worth a look?!

hayleylea - Spotlight have some good ones, different colours too. Where would I get the stand from? Would they sell the stand & net seperatly?

haleylea - Had a look on ebay, but there are none on stands. Will have a look tomorrow at a few baby shops see if I can find one, otherwise one that hangs from the ceiling might be the only way to go. The only reason i wanted one on a stand was because we're renting and didn't want to go putting any holes in the ceiling.

Would be handy if my partner was actually around! lol...

I bought mine from Ikea. Cost $29.95. Had a look at the ones from baby stores, but realistically I am not a fan because they are on a stand and once the baby grows out of his/her cot, there is not much use for them. So I bought one you can hang from the roof, it looks amazing, and at least this way we can use if for her bed too.

Kayangel - I'll be living in Tassie up until September, but once my partner is back from overseas we'll be up in Darwin again and mosquitos are pretty bad up there.

JordansMummy - Looks like i'm going to have to just stick to one of the normal ones that hang from the roof, alot cheaper too by the sounds of it. Nearly died when the lady told me how much this one was at the baby shop that clipped onto the cot!

Babies galore have a good range, but not sure about the prices.

I got one that ties to the cot and is like a pop up dome tent. The reason I got this one is it also stops pets from getting in the cot (I have cats) and it is a solid structure around the cot and can't be moved easily. If a cat jumped on it they would just bounce off. It was expensive though - about $70 from memory. They have it to suit a normal cot size, and a bori cot.
