Pee sticks when to do it

Have bben trying now feel sick sometimes not due for 5 more days just wondering how soon the pregnancy test kits work

i think you can do it now. But be sure to do it first thing in the morn thats when the hormones are at there highest point for the day. if your preg your preg right?? the hormones will be there even if your only a couple of days....

I remember being impatient too.... I would wait until a few days after you are due. It's more likely to show up then. Ds' didn't show up until 2 weeks after due date!!

Hi there,

I am 1 week late for a very regular period and have done 5 hpt's and counting. They have all been BFN!!!! Very Very dissapointing. It is so hard to wait, but I would if I were you because it is just tourture otherwise. I am scheduled in for a blood test tomorrow so :fingerscrossed:

The best thing to do is buy the tests that are designed for use up to 7 days BEFORE your period is due!! You can buy them at the chemist or supermarket-they will have it written on the box

I did this and although the lines were very very faint and I mean so faint u had to hold it up to the light to see them lol I am happily 4 and a half months Preggi!!!!!

hmm I used those ones & it still took a while to show up... It all depends on when in your actual cycle you conceived. With ds it was actually only a couple of days before due date. DD was right on schedule!! So hers showed up the day they were due!

You can test up to 7 days before your due date with certain tests. I recommend though to test after your due date, its more accurate. The problem with testing before your due date is the hormone isnt very high yet and can give you inaccurate results. They sometimes show you a BFN when you are in fact pg. Most times though if you do test early the result will be very faded and can take a while to show up. Which prompts you to do another one believing that it could be wrong. of you can take 2 of them, one before and one on the day that you're due... and neither of them show up that you're preggie..
only to get a positive on a cheap pee test a week later :p

(in other words, I don't trust Fortel brand pee tests.)
