Signs of Conception

Hi All,

I read a while back signs of conception maybe your temperature is a little higher than normal & possibly white discharge. I have searched heaps of sites and I cant find out where I got that information so if anyone can tell me if they had the same signs it would be much appreciated.

I found that i felt much warmer when I first considered doing the pregnancy test. I haven't heard this from other people though. I'm not sure how early you are but all the best.

Usually symptoms include
*increased breast size or tenderness
*more frequent unrinations
*you may feel nauseus
*you feel tired
*you feel more emotional
*I also got pimples :(

First Phase Temps
The first phase (Preovulatory) before ovulation has occured, temps will normally be between 97.0 to 97.5. Right before ovulation occurs the hormone estrogen is produced causing lower temps. Many women are able to see a dip in temp alerting them that peak time is near and ovulation is about to occur. Just remember, your temps can rise and fall multiple times before a dip making it difficult to know when the lowest point will be. It is important to also know that your lowest temperature is most likely NOT your peak day and unless you are charting other indicators you may miss your most fertile time completely.

Second Phase Temps
In the second phase (Luteal Phase) which begins after ovulation temperatures generally will rise between 97.6 and 98.6. The increased temperatures are due to the hormone progesterone which is released from the corpus luetum - the follicle that hold the egg. The temps will remain high for a period usually 12 to 16 days until they drop again (either the day before or the day of) when your cycle ends and menstrual period begins. If conception occurs temperatures will remain high during the entire pregnancy.

Third Phase Temps
Many women experience a third phase (Triphasic Phase) which is temperatures climbing to yet another level that is approximately 3/10's - 4/10's over the Luteal Phase high. This is due to the HCG (Human Chorionic Gonadotropin) hormone that is produced if conception has occurred and when implantation takes place.

Just to put the cat amongst the pigeons, my temps, after the initial rise following ovulation, did not change at all. It was only because they stayed up that I could confirm pregnancy.

With my first I had breast tenderness and exhaustion a day or two before my period. With No.2 I had nothing until 6 weeks and with No.3 I had implantation pains on about days 9-11 post ovulation and frequent urination the day my period was due.

so it goes to show that you may get early signs or none at all. The one constant with all 3 of my pregnancies was I didn't get the normal period like pains which usually iccur 1-2 days beforehand.

Like a few other BUBHUB members, my period is due tomorrow. I did a pregnancy test yesterday which showed up negative :( I am still keeping my fingers crossed though as i have not had the Feelings in my tummy that i am getting my period, my breasts are tender, i have an awful taste in my mouth & cant stand meat !?!?!?
I really hope this is not all in my mind :o ...... i guess we could call this the waiting game !

well im due to get my period today and havny yet so hopefully im pregnant the signs that i have had are sore brests with big blue vains amd had pains in my belly about 3 days ago which is very unusual as i never get any pains at all i feel sick in the morning when i wake up and still lying in bed once i get up and start moving it goes away. I took a test today a fortel one it says you can test 5 - 7 days before your period and there was the faintest line i mean faint you can bearly see it i have to move it into the light but its deffinatly there even though my partner said he cant see it. Has this ever happened to anyone else im so confused i really want to know.

Thanks all for the info, I am due for my period on Monday and have just got breast soreness today, but I cant tell if it is normal pre-menstrual pain or not.
So we shall see.
If it is not my month :( I will try the charting method for ovulation as I am using the maybe baby kit (which is great) but it will be interesting to see what my temperatures will be throughout the month.
I have only been ttc for 1 month but feels like forever, cause I have been off the pill for 3 months and my mind seems to think it has been 3 months of trying when it hasnt....

Only time will tell hey...

Fingers crossed for you I had to go to infertility specialist to conceive and although i had daily blood test to monitor ovulation i brought a maybe baby and it was great my hubby would come home from work and ask if i was ferning, I also was told drinking Yaulkut 3 times a day and a daily dose of Vit. E can help with conception, i did do this and fell pregnant that month after 12 months of AIH i was also told to take 1/2 an asprin because it thins blood to make it easier for implantation i also did this but would not recommend it as i has bleeding on and off for 10 weeks and the Specialist said that it could have been from that.
