Hi birthingbeauty,
I admire your choice of VBAC.
I had an emergency caesarian with DD1. I was induced after my waters broke and nothing happened. It was the most horrible experience. The contractions were full on straight away and I couldn't handle the pain so ended up having an epidural. Then I had trouble dialating so they gave me more drugs 'oxytocin' I think it is called, to try and speed things up and bubs reacted badly to this with the heartrate dropping, so they stopped the drugs but nothing happened, so they started the oxytocin again and same thing happened so they gave me the option of trying again or going c/s. By this time (10 hours later) I was so tired and in pain that I had had enough and elected for the c/s.
I have decided to go for a planned c/s this time as I couldn't bear to go through that trauma again. I found the recovery after the c/s excellent, I was off pain killers within 48 hours and feeling like normal after about 4 days. Thankfully.
Anyway, if I knew things would go to plan with a vaginal birth I would do it, but am too scared and stressed to try again. So I really admire your determination and choice to do it.
Well done! And I hope it goes perfectly to plan for you. I know many women who have had success with VBAC so there is no reason you won't either.:flowerz:

im almost the same as DEEJAY...i had emergency c-section and now im ttc (waiting for blood results as-we-speek) i keep thinking about how i want to birth a baby....and i really think im too scared to try the VB again because it was so horrid the first time around---saying that, if i knew it would not result in a emergency c i would go ahead with a VB. mY DD Was 9lb 4oz and her head never fully engaged, leading the docs to believe she wasnt going to fit , also my mum had all 3 of us as c's due to her (can not remember the proper name) tilted pelvis. but sometimes i really think id love to try VBAC but i just get so scared, even just thinking about it. anyways good luck with ur decision :D
