Just wondering whos going this year

Im from CHC and currently living the life on sunny Gold Coast, well not the last few weeks any way. Every year since ive been here ive gone to the Waitangi Day Celebrations at Pizzy Park, think its in Miami, drink Kiwi beer, tuck into a hungi, drawl, and listen to some good tunes. It started off with just a about 5 thousand and each year it gets bigger and bigger, this will be my 6th year and think last year the numbers were up aroung 17 000!!

Its always on a stinking hot day so take heaps of water and last year took a shade house thingy, manly for the kids but was handy cause 14 of us fit under it!!

think around 10am. Goes all day, kinda reminds me of the stuff they hold back home in hagley park!!

Even though its waitangi day, I always for the first half hr or so keep staring at everyone, its like really feeling at home, but not knowing anyone (does that sound right?)
think its a saturday, or sunday...
its $5 each, or a car load, cant remember but its not too spensy. if your going to go we should meet.

That Gold Coast Waitangi Festival is at the Carrara Stadium Fields on Nerang-Broadbeach Road, Carrara.

Turn off Pacific Highway at Nerang at the BROADBEACH exit, grounds are 2kms on the left. Just look out for Carrara Stadium.
