Its probably a little early yet but I was wondering if those with a bit of experience may be able to give me some shopping tips?!
I was looking at prams and buggies at home and I saw some pretty cool ones that have a car seat that you can slot in straight to the buggy frame it you're just nipping into the shops, think it was a three and one travel system, with a low lying bit for a newborn, car seat (to be used up to a year) and the buggy part for when they can hold their heads up. has anyone seen these here? what are the big (and therefore cheaper :) ) shops here? I would have gone to mamas and papas or mothercare if I was at home.
cheers

It depends where you live. In Victoria Baby Bunting is very good, large range. The East Bentleigh in particular. You can google them for their locations.

Hi, i agree Babybunting is great, they have everything in the one place. But if you want a real bargain, once you know what you want go to place called Hush a bye. Its in Dandenong, not sure where you are from, but its worth the drive. You can save hundreds!! He wont quote over the phone though.

Baby Bunting is a good shop with a huge range but they can be a little expensive. Some of the smaller, private shops give much bigger discounts, especially if you buy lots of big items all at once.
It's worth shopping around and writing down prices so you can drive the prices down.

Thanks guys,
I'm in Melbourne so thats perfect. Its funny I have the jingle for eurobaby and eurobikes on the longmile road going round my head constantly, its one of those random massive stores they have at home where they sell bicycles and baby gear, bit of an odd mix I would have thought but whatever floats their boat!
Think i'll be checking our baby bunting and hush a bye this weekend so!

Hi Girls,
We have bought heaps so far, i like to be as organised as i can be. I have so much on this year so i wanna have as much of it done as i can.
I have spent heaps of time searching the web, through forums to find what other parents say about different items. I have found this has helped to make the decision making easier.
I have just recieved in the mail my ergo baby carrier, cheapest price with best deal is at
www.gear4baby.com.au (http://www.gear4baby.com.au)
We are going to put the boori classic cot and change table on layby and pick up a month or so before due date.
Also the Target sales are great, they have a big baby sale on this week. I have gotton some great bargains, like a baby einstein porta cot, tommee tippee bottles, breast pump, steraliser. Also got the Tommee Tippee Ultimate baby monitor for a great price. Got baby bath, some washable nappys, nappy bucket etc...
I have put them all on laybys so i wont have to store them at home for another 2 months.
My parents bought us an emmajlunga pram, i absolutely love it.
Ide suggest making great use of the forums to find out what products other recomend.

I am also in melbourne and have found Baby bunting the best store for us. Have just ordered 2 new car seats from them, and they were REALLY helpful at checking that everything fit into the car. They come out with you to the car, check they fit etc... which is particularly important for Prams and car seats!
Our local baby co isn't anywhere near as good... but i think that is just our local one, as i have heard from others that they are great.
