Hi,

Im new around here, I discovered bubhub as the forum i usually lurk on doesnt have positive feedback about c sections.

I just want to say thanks and congratulations for sharing your positive experiences without the threads turning into $hitfights. :yelclap:

I am currently 36wks with a breech bub, and today i saw my ob who booked me in for a c section on 6 feb. coming on here i feel so much better and informed about what is going to happen, and has armed me with a stack of questions for my ob regarding the whole experience.

I probably wouldnt of thought to ask the questions that i will if i didnt find all your positive stories, so thanks

I hope it is a positive experience for you.
As I am sure lots of people will tell you the final outcome is all that matters and that is meeting your beautiful baby.
Good on you for being fully informed.

CONGRATULATIONS!!!!! welcome to the world of ceaser mums!!! i also had a breach baby with my dd1 and i went on to have another 2 ceaser with ds1 and dd2.............they arent as bad as lots of people portray them as........GOODLUCK!!!!

ps buy lots of big baggy undies as you will only want to wear them for a couple of weeks so they dont rub on your scar

i had my bubs via e-caesarean due to breech presentation. i went through the same emotions most people do when they were planning on having a natural birth but the baby was tangled in cords so he did not turn.

i was frightened but really shouldn't have been. There was of course weeks of discomfort afterwards but I had a lot of support. 6 months on, I view it really positively and am not traumatised by it at all.

Bubs and i were in really good shape, so it was a low-risk e-caesarean birth.

I was in pain days 2-4 because the nurses messed up my medication - other than that..it was fine. also i was distracted from pain because I had my beautiful boy in my arms.

Congratulations and have a wonderful birth experience with your bub!

I had a VB with DD and a c-section with DS and I'll say I recovered alot quicker with the c-section than I did with the traumatic VB.

The c-section had no effect what-so-ever on BF my baby - actually I had less trouble and bonded quicker with DS than I did with DD. I had no trouble picking him up (and he wasn't a light one either ) and got back to normal doing everything as per normal after 8 days.

With pain medication I took the offered panadol or voltarin in hospital (kept it up every 4 hours) and found I wasn't in pain - unless I twisted and by the time I got home I really didn't need it anymore.
