Okay, here goes: DH had a vasectomy 6 weeks ago, and its still 4 weeks til he has his test to confirm that he is 'safe' so to speak. I have a 15 week old who is breastfed exclusively so AF has thus far not returned.
My libido had been almost non existent during my pregnancy and since the birth, and with the planned snip, I thought I wouldn't need to worry about contraception BUT yes silly me, we did have unprotected sex..........so now I am wondering - what are the chances of me being pregnant?
Also with no AF, when do I test?

Any advice on this is appreciated.

I guess 2 - 3 weeks after you had the unprotected sex?

I would think the chances of being pregnant are slim if you are exclusively breastfeeding and have not had AF yet. Have you had any signs of ovulation returning?

I have increased CM and a pain on my left side at the time of ovulation.

Hopefully someone has more info for you!

Not you too? LOL :laughing: I would maybe test in a couple weeks. Sperm can only live in the uterus for so long, and enough Hcg toi be picked up is produced a short while after inplantation which can take a week or so. So I reckon a cple weeks would give you enough time to get an accurate test.


As for indication of O - I have never had cramping but I get definate signs from Cm including stringy clear Eggwhite CM. Other indications of O are breast sensitivity, cramping in one or both sides near the ovaries, aching near ovary areas, some women bloat. Really depends. But CM is a good indicator. So any clear CM can usually mean you area bout to or have O'ed.

what Jude said, with the EWCM, pain either side of the overies etc etc

with the testing, don't test any earlier then 2wks after unprotected sex, by then if you are preg there should be enough HCG there to be picked up
