View Full Version : Growing pains
Eliza has the past 2-3 weeks woken up in the night complaining her feet/ankles/knees hurt usually her right leg. She has grown a little bit, but could it be growing pains? During the day she is fine never complains.
Could be. Could also be cramps. Try upping her calcium and magnesium (milk - not necessarily booby) intake and see if that helps.
She drinks a lot of cows milk could she be getting to much? I was thinking cramps too I use to get them really bad as a child I am teaching her to stretch when she says hurting now.
Are you adverse to giving her children's vitamins? Boots sell them in happy colours and flavours. I am inclined to think that it is some sort of vitamin/mineral deficiency. Of course, if it continues, take her to a doctor.
never given them, maybe I will trundle to Boots today you know the massive one on Oxford street, close to Selfridges...:p Thanks ma dear x
I found that calcium suppliments help Dan through growing pains as well as plenty of rubbing his legs and if needed a dose of nurofen (I hate giving my kids meds though).
We tend to go through these patches every 5 or 6 months or so and I sleep on the floor next to him (both snuggled together) and it seems like lying on the hard surface makes him feel better too.
