Can u tell the sex of the baby with the heart beat

im preg with number 2 and the heart beat is 153bpm with my daughter it was 152bpm wat were ur babys heart beats at the 12 weeks scan and wat did u have??? am i having another girl

DS' was always around the 140 mark. This one's is has been at the 160-167 mark on both scans.

apparently you can.... my acupuncturist told me that pregnant mothers have different pulses and he can tell wheat sex the baby is from it.

Mine was 160bpm, and was told more likely to be a boy! Cant remember what DS1 and DS2 were, sorry. I think it goes that if heart under 150 it is a boy and over 150 it is a girl? But that doesnt seem to work for mine :laughing:

I dont know the answer but am interested in finding out - I hired a doppler and am doing my own experiment the 3 times I have checked has been 149,155 and 147 so I should have an answer in a few weeks for you!!

My bubs was 153 at the 12 weeks scan.

Just read a note on the web, that the rule that under 150 is boy and over 150 is girl does not apply until the 3rd trimester, so we may have to wait and see :yelclap:

My girls were 160+
At the 7week scan this pregnancy was 150bpm, will let you know what next week is at 13 weeks.

Yeah I don't think that rule of under 150 for a boy and over 150 for a girl really applies until later in the pregnancy.

Lachlan's was always above 150 and went as high as 167bpm.

This pregnancy bubs has been 171 to 176bpm.

Guess we will find out the sex in a few weeks. But I don't really believe the theory. I think the more active they are in the womb the higher the heart rate.

hey every1 thanks for the replys:thumbsup: every bub is different so i dnt think we can tell by that this early anyway so will have to wait till the 18 weeks scan to see wat sex bubby is

So far the heart beat is measuring 160+ and I was told it was likely to be boy. Will know more in 5 weeks!

I heard that too, that its the 3rd trimester

with all my DS's they were all 160 and under till around 20wks, but with DS 2 he was still sitting between 140 and 150 in the 3rd trimester

with DD in the third trimester, hers would sit between 150 and 160, mostly close to 150 though
