Brestfeeding with an upset tummy

Hi New mum here. My son is 10 days old and i am brest feeding soley and have a bit of an upset tummy today (not throwing up IYKWIM sorry for TMI). What i want to know is it still ok for me to feed him or should i be giving him a formula bottle untill i get over it. The only thing is it didnt start until about 3.00pm today and i had fed him all day up until then. I dont want to make him sick but i dont want to formula feed either.

Any advice would be a great.

I was told that it is fine to keep feeding in those circumstances - if nothing else you will keep giving your baby the antibodies that will help to fight any bug you might have.

Thanks for that i just wanted to make sure thats all. I dont want to give him a bottle but i didnt want him to be unwell either i feel fine except for that and im not throwing up it just the other end not playing nicely (sorry TMI). This being a mummy thing is all so new and scary.

I second what the others have said - those antibodies are wonderful things!! The most likely way for bub to catch it would be from germs on your hands, so make sure you're really careful about washing them (under fingernails etc) but don't worry - your milk won't have the germs in it! Hope you feel better soon! :)
