Hi all,

Just wondering if anyone has had any experiences with the Birth Centre at John Hunter Hospital in Newcastle???

I am going through the Group Practice Midwifes that run out of the Birth Centre at JHH, and am set to meet my midwife, Barb, on 27th March.

Hoping to hear from anyone with any info!

Cheers,

Hi Kaz,
Im not going through the John, Im going through the Belmont Birthing Centre. Its all a midwife run centre. Although I have been told if anything goes amiss I will have to go to the John. The midwife I am seeing is the same one who delivered my 2yo. They are all fantastic at Belmont.
Hope JHH turns out to be good for you. Goodluck.

Hi! I joined this forum just so I could reply to this post! I know it's an old post but I still wanted to respond anyway.

I gave birth to my DD at the JHH Birth Centre in November last year. It was the best experience of my life! Honestly I could not fault anything...they were fantastic!! I could go on and on and on about how amazing my experience was, and about how much respect I have for those midwife's!
I was a different team to you (no Barb in my team of midwife's) but everyone that I know that went through the birth centre had a very similar experience to mine and they all sing praises.

I loved it so much, I can't wait to do it all over again!!!

Hi Kaz!!!

Have you had your bub yet?!?

My SIL had her baby boy at JHH yesterday!!!:smiliedance:

She was booked into the birthing centre, but had to use the labour ward as it was full, she still had an amazing (although long & hard) time & couldn't praise the staff there highly enough.

Can't wait 'till it's my turn!!

Good-luck!
XO:hugs:
