My DS finally is teething, although its good and bad! :p The top tooth on his left has just popped through the gum. He also has another one moving down right next to it. Im so relieved i thought my son would be the first kid at school with dentures. He is now 11.5months. I didnt think that kids could get their 1st tooth so late.

:smiliedance: yay for Jayden :smiliedance: hope he is not too miserable while he is getting teeth.
It is definatly possible for them to get their first teeth at this age...and later too...my DS was 17mths when he got his first :p Hopefully DD's don't take quite so long.

DD1 didn't get her first 2 teeth til 11.5 months either. At least when people came to her first b-day party i could show of she finally had her teeth! lol I've heard that the longer they take to come through, the stronger the teeth will be...so its a good thing! DD2 got her first 2 at 5 months, and the next one's only just coming now and she's 7 months.....

I feel so much better knowing that im not the only parent that has a child with no teeth until their 1st birthday! :D

Yay for Jayden!
Nat didn't get his first tooth till he was 11 months and only had the one tooth for his first birthday.
PJ had 4 teeth for his first birthday.
Wyatt has just gotten his first two teeth - on the same day! We went to bed on Thurs and on Fri we woke up and there were two shining white teeth popped through. He has been as good as gold. No crying, grizzling, temps, he hasn't been off his food. He has been his usual giggling playful self. Hooray!!! And he is just 7 months. I actually thought he would have gotten teeth much earlier, but am just so glad he wasn't affected by them. The only difference is now he drools, a fact he finds hilarious enough to try and share with me by blowing raspberries!

katyg - you were so lucky that you didnt have all the bad things that are involved with teething!! :D Ive had sleepless nights for the last 2 weeks. Last night was the first night that he actually slept through.

Jayden grabbed my hand tonight to give me a sloppy kiss, instead it was a nibble!! When my finger was in his mouth i felt another tooth thats popped through the skin!! :smiliedance: Its down the bottom and in the front. He went from not having anything to having all of these teeth. Theres another one up the top thats close to breaking through the skin. I just thought i would let you all know his success! :D
