shell fish?

At what age can you start giving shell fish to babies? My Aunt and Uncle gave there 15mth DD prawns and oyseters(sp?) the other day and my grandma went nuts!!! What age can she be given these????

I think the recommendations these days is to wait till their 3rd birthday!

Not sure when exactly but my nephew, Oscar, has been eating a full array of seafood since he was 12 mths or less. His dad and grandfather are very keen fisherman and regularly fed him shellfish. He never had a reaction.
