anyone know of any product or natural alternative that will help repell mozzies when pregnnt. mozzies love me and i get the allergic reaction to the bite so they get red and swell up. im going camping australia day weekend for 5 or 6 days so im getting a bit worried. any suggestion would be much appreciated.

Check out Ellen Jay's range - just google it. We use several of her products including the Invisible Glove (which I love for my hands and feet as well as DD's eczema), shampoo and bug repellent - it is all natural, smells lovely and you only need a tiny amount.

Just to add to this query - are there any essential oils or other ideas that work? With all this water around the mozzies are rampant and we are in a queenslander with no airconditioning so we need the doors and windows open most of the time.
I am getting eaten alive alive just about all the time - whether inside or outside. So i'm looking for something safe while I'm pregnant, and also safe to put on my toddler. And since we need to use it (and for DH too) just about 24/7 it needs to be pretty cheap too. I know - sounds like a big ask, but if anyone has ideas I'd really appreciate it.
(I'm currently using lots of tea tree oil on the bites to try to relieve them but it doesn't do much to keep the mozzies away - plus I still feel a bit dubious using it while pg)

Miessence make one called MiEnviron, buzz free personal spray. It is certified organic & from what I have heard all of their products can be used throughout pregnancy.

You should be able to get plenty of natural/chemical free repellants on-line. If you live close a shopping centre most health food stores have a good range. I work in a pharmacy and even we stock 2 types of natural repellants.
