Just wanted to see who and how people attach dummies at night. I know you shouldn't do this and maybe no-one does but Olivia who is 6 and 1/2 months is waking way to often during the night for her dummy. I am sleep deprived for the first time since she was born and I DON'T LIKE IT.
Can anyone give me any suggestions? I have toyed with the idea of weaning her off it, but it is a source of comfort for her and so not to eager to take it off her altogether.

I dont attach because of the risks but i guess im lucky in that bubs actually spits his out after he falls asleep & its only every now & then that he cries for it to be put back in if he cant find it.
My mum taught my sister to find hers so she ended up being a master apparently searching for it while sound asleep LOL !
You could try weaning her off if its becoming too hard with her waking etc & use another comfort item like a blanket or toy ?
Im considering this myself as bubs doesnt really use his all that much so i think its sorta silly IYKWIM.

I'ts so funny. I just went into check on Olivia, as she was grizzling ( still) and she was on her tummy scambling for one of her dummies. It was quite cute. I don't normally put her on her tummy, but she seems okay with it, and yes I am trying to teach her how to find her dummy. Seems she is working it out. :fingerscrossed:
I need sleep. :banghead:

our last dummy was in 1996 when our first was born
we got rid of the dummy as it was getting so crazy  we would lose one everywhere and we even got a glow in the dark one , but our next girl we had she did not want to have it and that was great for us , she would just like a rub on the back while she was in the cot and she would fall asleep again we were very lucky.

Hi Liams mummy, I have tried doing that, but she still struggles. How old was he when he was able to find them. I really don't want to take away the dummy.
