Nope. My ob said between 11 1/2 and 13 1/2 weeks. I think the nuchal thickness can be a bit thicker towards the 13 weeks mark, but I think they take that into account. enjoy it!

I dont think that will be too late is you are sure that you will not be more than 13 weeks on that day. Im actually not sure if its too late at 14 weeks. Have you been for a scan yet to get he exact dates? When you booked the app they would/should have asked you your last period dates and worked it out for you. If you are worried ask them if they can do it a few days before. If you so do miss out on the scan because of the dates they can still do the blood test to give you some idea.

My dates are all over the place at the moment. I think I will be 12wk 3d when I go on 21st Jan but the scan my OB did was saying I am a week behind so it might be too early for me on the day to have it done. I suppose we'll figure it out on the day.

I had a small scan yesterday to find the heartbeat as the doppler could not locate it. Anyways it was spot on with dates from our 7week scan, so pretty sure they are correct :)

My midwife told me it would be ok, but the receptionist who seemed to be in a bad mood told me it was WAY too late then

I think 13 weeks might be the outer limit... or is it 13w, 5d... oh I can't remember.

Co-incidentally, I'm having my NT scan on the same day. I'll be 12w, 2d.

When I rang to make my appoint, I was told they liked doing it at 12 weeks 4 days, but my Ob said anytime between 11 and 13 weeks, but closer to the 12 week mark. I'd say it should be fine....perhaps call the place where you're having it done, they'd have to know, surely.

I was sure my midwife said 13 weeks 5 days at the latest??

I'm sure I read it was either 13 weeks 5 days or 13 weeks 6 days - either way at 13 weeks you'll be fine :yelclap:

Dont stress, I spoke to the place here and they like it done by 13 weeks 5 days so you should be right. I was told not to get it before 12 weeks. Mine was booked for 12 weeks 4 days, cos of my stupid dates even if they discovered my original date was right, I would still only be 13 weeks 2 days and under the 'cut off'.

I had mine on Tuesday, and i was 12 weeks 5 days. She said the outer limit for the blood work was 13 weeks, but the scans could be done a little later.

I didn't get bloods done because i was a bit late... but the scan was good.

I think the whole point of the blood tests is they combine blood and scan results to determine risk, though if you dont want to know the risk I guess you can still have the scan just to see the baby.

When I had mine I went to "Melbourne Ultrasound for Women" who apprently specialise in this test and when I rang to make the appointment I was told they prefer to do the test at 13 weeks rather than 12 weeks.

I had mine done at 13 weeks and 1 day.

When I had mine done, I was told 13 weeks 5 days was the cut off so you should be fine.

As I said before, my ob said between 11 1/2 and 13 1/2 weeks, but when I tried to book in at SOGI, they said they wont' do them there before 12 weeks because the baby's still too small.

I didn't have one with DD, but if my memory serves me correctly, I think around 13 weeks is still OK
