Ok I'm going to be weird. I was going to go the shanks but decided not to. I'll take the 2 side dishes, Green beans & chips. I'm pregnant I have the excuse for being picky :p and I'll go the ice cream for dessert. Do you think I'll be allowed to do that for my main (having 2 sides)

I feel really snooty and snotty by voting that "nothing on this list suits me".....but taste buds are ruling over manners - I have been drooling over the eye fillet...
So, please, pretty please, lovely Veve, can I have the beef?
And I realise that this puts me out of the quest for Nick...and that could be part of my fiendishly clever plot....

i've been TRYING & TRYING to choose, but there just doesn't seem to be a main that i like! lol. i didn't think i was that fussy! the only things i can't stand are seafood & mushrooms...
i'm sure i could ask for a dish without mushrooms, but i don't have much money, anyway & if i ever go out to a restaurant i'm usually too full for dessert, so i might have a dessert only night! ;) or, i could get chips & then dessert...
so, no main for me!! ;)
RIsotto (vege) for me:thumbsup:
Risotto for me - can I be added to the list, please? (draught did invite me)

I am sorry, so very sorry, but I am not going to be able to come:( Everytime I go somewhere lately I end up being miserable and wanting to be at home in my ugg boots and tracky pants becasue of this morning sickness:( I wouldnt be much company and the smell of the food is likely to make me ill:(
SO sosososo sorry for the late notice. I will be at the next one.
That is a shame Katie - hope you start to feel better soon....in time for the next dinner! And to think that there were all those vegie options for you for once too!!!
So when is the next one?
I want to pencil it in now because it will be my last opportunity to go anywhere without a baby in toe for a while?
Can it be early to mid April....mid is ok....just not late April...O was early so I don't want to miss out because I'm giving birth.:o
we will DEFINATELY have it in early April - I think the 7th was an option discussed in another thread???

Yep we have two main pubs and an RSL in Murgon - and then there is the park if you chose to do your drinking there as some folks do!
But the Hivesville Hotel - now that's a bit flash! Its a weeny drive from Murgon but near enough!
Perhaps i will mix some inks at work tomorrow and make a pretty green to paint myself with! :D

Thanks for the wonderful evening ladies!
It was great to meet you all (well, most of you - i was too shy to get up & go to the other end of the table... :() I'm so glad i can put some faces to names, now. i'm pretty forgetful & so it'll help me remember who posted what, now!! ;)
a special thank you to Jacks Mum for giving me a lift there & back! :D what an awesome lady!
I had the handcut chips (side menu) & the creme brulee dessert. both were REALLY good. i cant believe the 'side' of chips was as large as many of the mains!!
I can't believe we were there for so long - time flies. I think it was after midnight when i got home! do the dinners usually go for so long? at least i got a long sleep when i git home - 7 hours! yay!
Yes Kaz - they always go that late - we are normally kicked out of the venue or are the last to leave - guess we all love talking a lot in real life too!!!
Thank you for a lovely night. Thanks KM for the lift to the Caltex at Carseldine. I managed to get a lift home from there so I am (obviously) still alive!!

Hi everyone.
What a great feast. Thanks to Veve for organising it. :yelclap: Well done. You did a fantastic job. Your little man was soooooooo cute although his presence was making me miss my little man. First night outing without him. Thanks Hillary for the wines. It will be my shout next time. Thanks to Draught for being so warm and welcoming. :) Well Puk I hope your puppy was alright last night. Home alone and all. I hope your hubby didn't stay out lanning for too long. Is that how you spell it? It was good to see Rosa and killakaz again. It was nice to finally meet you Serenitynow. It was a shame we didn't get to talk. Thats what happens when your at different ends of the table.:) Well Jacks mum we are going to have to organise the play at the park with take-away coffees soon. Anyway it was great to meet you all.
Hi Amy
No trouble at all, although the restaurant itself wasn't hard to find, it was the babysitter's place that was the doozy. ;) I think she was trying to make sure I could never find my way back there again :D .
Cheers

Hi Michael's Mum
It was good to meet you to. Most ppl shorten to X ... which is absolutely fine, makes me look twice though when ppl sign with an X as a kiss in their post :D (thanks Sonia :D )
Aplogies to all the rest I didn't get off my chair to talk to...there's always the next time though.
Cheers

Thank you ladies for a splendid evening - haven't had a night out in quite a while and it did me the world of good.
Big thank you to Veve, for organising it, to Hiliary for letting me cadge wine, and for Draught for facilitating said cadge.:D
Special thanks to Sopolicha, Maghan, K.M and Draught for making me feel so welcome on arrival - and for overlooking my nervous babble with such grace and style.:o
Draught, you must wear your strumpet spiky stilletto's next time, so I don't feel like such a jamtart.
KK, Carolin, Rosa, & Michael's mummy - it was lovely to chat with you and I look forward to meeting those I missed, at the next one.
Hey thanks Melissa, it was fab to meet you too and thank you for putting up with my drunken dribble...
I hope next one I get to say hello to more people too.
Good to see you in person too puk!

missed the shoes :crying: i hope no one noticed mine - i went for the comfort factor!! (hey, i'm pregnant - i can get away with doing ANYTHING, i've been told! hehe)
so... when's the April dinner thread gunna be started? i was tempted to start one, but thought i'd leave it up to someone else! :P & i guess the march ones don't need to be stickied anymore??
yeah I was wondering that too - especially if we want to meet as early as the 7th ??
if no one else wants to organise it - I will do it again ... (droughts assistance will be needed though :D)
- umm TEA LADY???!!! you haven't contacted me in relation to collecting nick-o-less... he is feeling rather unloved!!!
