Any advice would be great

My DD is almost three months and I have so much trouble getting her to sleep. I BF her to sleep in bed or I put her in her swing and she will fall asleep there.

But as soon as I pick her up and put her into her cot she wakes up and cries, then I will BF her again until she falls asleep. To get peace I will co-sleep with her.

I really want to stop BF her to sleep or putting in her swing. Last night I put her in her cot when she showed the signs of being tired and she cried. I tried CC it didnt work, she refuses a dummy and a bottle, all she wants is BF to sleep.

I don't mind but it's really tiring cause my DS who is two needs me to, I never had any problems with my boy falling asleep.

How can I teach her to fall asleep in her cot? What techniques did you use.

Maybe try to transition her from sling to cot, still wrap her and ease her into sleeping in a cot by poping her in a pram so you can rock and pat her while she is going to sleep.
She probably still want to feel secure, thats why she will fall asleep in the sling, and there is nothing wrong with that, but I know what its like having a baby and a two year old that needs your attention. Its demanding and tiring.
Have you tried comfort beds or wedges or similar so she feels more secure in her cot?
I would also try to wrap her in something that smells like you.
A few drops of lavander in an oil burner also helps relax bubs and also you as well, so that may help also.
Maybe try a massage before a feed and sleep with a drop of lavender in apricot kernal oil. This may help her whole body relax for a good sleep.
Or a bed time bath.
Umm thats all I can think of......:hugs: I hope it gets better soon.

I had that same problem with DD.. she either had to be BF to sleep or rocked whist walking around the house - thankd to my DH who got her used to that from day 1 !

I did co sleep with DD until 10 months... but i began feeding her in her room with her aqaurium music turned on that was and still is attached to her cot. She eventually got used to hearing the music. So now she has a bath, milk and then i put her in her cot with the music on and just pat her side.. she drifts off to sleep and and i walk out of teh room. The music plays for about 6 minutes then switches off.

Not sure what else to suggest but what i mentioned worked for us.
