Okey I need to keep myself occupied!!

Does anyone have some ideas of things to do, hobbies to take up, finding ways of enjoying my own company, or gaining a social life lol??

I live alone but have promised myself I'll do more scrapbooking and reading this year. What do you do in your spare time?? :)

Liddy i think that might change a little after bubs  you will be flat out.

the only time i seem to have is when DS is sleeping:D. Usually means tidying up etc doing some mundane tasks, tv, internet and sleeping .

I would love to do more of:

scrapbooking - haven't done any now since DS was active at 6months!! so 1.5 years of getting around to it!!

reading - I have a million parenting books that i haven't opened that i have been given:rolleyes:

better housekeeping still trying

 i do LOTS of things to keep myself occupied.. even if it is NOTHING lol... sometimes when bub is asleep all you want to do is ZONE OUT:laughing:

but i go swimming occasionally... taking bubs of course. i read *no where near as much as i used to.. i used to read a book a day and draw and paint as much as i could*

i go driving and i joined a gym with a creche but cant go atm cause i have issues with my back...

i visit friends and sometimes just take baby out of the house... anywhere lol.

i go on the net.. i watch tv.. call friends. lots of things...

but im starting uni next month so i assume ALL my spare time will be taken up with that:D

Speaking from a former singlemummy!

SINGSTAR Partys! When all my friends where out drinking a few of us would gather at my house, put bub to bed and belt out a tune or too! Still very social and heaps of fun.

Maybe you could watch more movies! You never get to watch them when you have a baby as you never get to have 2.5 hours spare. Go to the cinemas too cos that wont happen for a while. Go and get a pedicure too you will feel awesome! and it wont be long til you cant reach your toes!

I worked full time up until DD was born (literally lol) so didn't have enough spare time to worry about it. Then joined the ABA, mother groups and other get-togethers and didn't have much free time then either. Now I am a working and studying mother, and, yeah, spare time is nothing more than a dream

I guess everyone has their passions - mine is writing, listening to music and catching up with friends.
What are you passions/ hobbies - enjoy every moment now as when bubs come you will have little time to you
