3month old dd with bad cough

My baby has had a really bad cough since Monday, it sounds very chesty and she has a runny nose too I've been putting Vicks on her chest but hasn't helped. Should I take her to the Docs? I don't like giving meds to my girls especially at this age, my Doc will prob prescribe something like he always does, that's why I don't like taking them to the docs.

My DD had a bad cough and i took her to the docs and she had a chest infection and he did give me antibiotics and then he did a follow up vist. She kept on getting them as well right up untill early dec was her last one. I wanted her to have the medicine though as chest infections scare me.

Hope she gets better soon, maybe try another doc if there is one near by

Hi. A chest infection at 3 months is a fairly serious issue. I really think you should see a doc, just in case... Stress to doc that your not keen on drugs unless they're absolutly necissary and that may sway the decision a bit. That way you know she'll only have to have meds if its really serious.
