Hi,

I am going to get DS a BIG bed soon but need to find a great allergy friendly mattress.

At the moment I have a cot mattress /dust mite protector on DS's cot mattress (but it cost me more than the mattress LOL) so this time Im looking at buying a mattress that is already allergy friendly.

I found one on the net manufactured by a Brisbane company called Sunbury, its called the Ez-Breeze mattress and apparently you can hose it down and it drys in a couple of hour, its also dust mite free:)

Just wondering if any one has one of these mattresss OR if any one can recommend one to me?

Thanks:)

Hi S,

I have a Sunbury cot and mattress (although not the anti-allergy one). If you need someone to check it out in person, give me a call !

I was actually on the web all afternoon looking for a big bed for DS - I found one I love but it's $799 ! I will keep looking.....

Hmm yes I was going to call in a favour with my bestest pal in sunny Brissy LOL:D

I might give them a call and see if they have any distrubuters in Sydney first but Ill keep you in mind, the one for the cot was actually heaps cheap too I think it was like $70  Not sure how much the single bed one would cost?

Hmm I am looking for a bed too, there are some lovely ones around.
Im not sure if I should buy a junior bed first (as O is still little) they have some great ones at Ikea (cheap too:smiliedance: ) OR maybe I should just fork out for a good quality King sized single bed that O can grow into?????

Will keep looking!

Can't help you on the mattress but can say that all our shopping around for beds for DD1 resulted in us going to Ikea - they were the only ones with beds that were relatively low to the ground. We got one with drawers underneath that have been great for toy storage (possibly called the brekke?). I would highly recommend the frame with your mattress of choice! Small enough that she can climb up and if she rolls off (which has only done once) it wasn't too far down.
