June Bubs heartrate & sex

Thought I would put the old wives tale to the test.... you know the one about bubs heartrate being faster or slower depending on the sex...
Anyway, how about we copy & paste our bubs heartrates and then say if its Pink or Blue - those not finding out will have to wait till June to fill us in!!
According to my google search... heartrate over 140 means GIRL! Below 140 means BOY

This is funny, because my ultrasound lady wouldn't tell me the heartrate at my last ultrasound, when I told her why I wanted to know she just laughed and said that it is the biggest myth in pregnancy! Guess we will find out!! Hopefully I can get it out of her at the 'telling u/s'.....

Think she said heart rate was 145?? but was hard to pick up as bub was wriggling loads!

With DS his heart rate was high & he was a boy!!

well girls i just pulled out my old u/s pics of the kids as a friend on the ph was telling me about this heart rate thing so i thought id see how it went for the other 2.
this baby#3 has a heart rate of 152
ds baby #2 had a heart rate of 143
dd baby #1 had a heart rate of 133????:eek: which now seems incredibly low to me but i obviously didnt realise at the time. so dd does not follow the pattern tho ds does

There are many other wives tales too - my mum told me today that if you are PG with a boy, you have higher testosterone levels, therefore more of a "drive" in the bedroom dept... however if you're having a girl, you're not so interested. This points to a girl for me in this case too. Also heart rate high so girl there too... and craving dairy, which is another girl indicator according to the old wives tales. Are there any more I don't know about?

sarahs boys some of us did do the ring test in a post ages back including me but now i cant remember what it said i was having hold on ill try n find it again

sarahsboys just looked the thread is on our last (eleventh) page but unfortunately a few of the girls who did it lost their babies and so we dont know if it would of been true. in ours it was said if rings swings in circles its a girl if its side to side its a boy. mine was circles for a girl but im actually having a boy lol

By the way girls... did you update your bubs heartbeat from the scan??? My bubs heartbeat was lower this time... more in line with being a boy... Just wondering!

They were just finishing my ultrasound and I asked what the heart rate was, they were like, oh we didn't record the rate down. Well back on the ultrasound they had to go, because I wasn't leaving until I finally got my heartrate :laughing:

Yep I updated mine. It goes to show that the theory on heartrates and sex of bubs does not really work! Just another silly myth.
