We have a LoveNCare layback stroller that we've had since DS was a baby but we've had plenty of issues with it. I think it's time we look at a new one and I need some suggestions.
DS is 21 months and 15-16kgs. DH is tall so we need something with long handles or extension handles. I'd also like a sunshade if possible.
Something smaller than a layback would be good.
Any ideas ?

We just bought a Quinny Zapp for Lucas (and on odd occasions Jesse uses it too) and it's fabulous. It folds up to virtually nothing, and has a really good sized seat (Lucas is 20mths but the height and weight of a 3y/o).
They're not cheap and it did take some convincing for DH to come round, but they're so good. They don't lay back which isn't a big deal for us as Lucas doesn't like to lay back in any stroller. They don't have any storage but I bought a little pack thing to go on the back...just enough for drinks, wipes, nappies and snacks...which is all you need at this age anyway. My DH is 6'5 and he doesn't seem to have any trouble pushing it.
It came with it's own carry bag, sun canopy and rain cover.
It's quite the machine...I love my Quinny!!!
Here's the website if you want to have a look...

You can find more parent reviews of strollers here; BubHub Directory - Pram & Stroller reviews (http://www.bubhub.com.au/communityprams.shtml).
We have a MacLaren which I love. I forget what model but would recommend the brand. DH is 6 foot and though he rarely pushes it he has never complained. The handles are higher than cheaper umbrella strollers.

wow Mamaduke that stroller looks awesome!
I think I saw them at DJ's
Can I ask whats the price range?
We have a Steelcraft one, bought at Toys'r'us for about $100. Is currently being used by child number 2, although is strong enough to also hold child number 1. Has a small mesh basket on the back, and a lid ~as my kid call it! (sunshade). folds down to not much, and is reasonably light.
My DH is 6ft, and pushes it without hassles.

I got mine from Baby Bunting (Victoria) but I'm pretty sure you can get them at David Jones as well.
We've got the black one (you can't get all the colours in Australia...yet) and we paid $390 for it .... I know, I know alot for a stroller...but it's soooo cool and Lukey & Jesse look so comfy in it...just quietly though...I've still got a bit of a problem letting Lukey eat in the Quinny - I don't want him to ruin it LOL!:o

Ok so I have looked into the Quinny Zapp (checked it out at my local DJ's store and I love it:thumbsup:
Bu I just cant see myself parting with $400 for a stroller........so I checked ebay and they have them for about $240 aus which is a huge difference in $
But my problem is I have never ever purchased anything on ebay so am very nervous and apprehensive about making such a big purchase especially when they are from the other side of the world (Germany)
Has any one else purchased on ebay?
Is it safe?
Should I go ahead and make the purchase?
Thanks:)
oh and one other thing which colour should i get? they are all soooooo HOT:D

I've bought alot of things from o/s on Ebay, but never anything that expensive though!
I think if you have a look at their feedback (the company selling the Quinnys) you should get a fair idea of whether or not past customers have been happy with them.
I got the black one...I was debating about the red (I just love red!) but thought that the black looked 'classier' and would not date. The lady in the store said that with the lighter colours you run the risk of them fading over time.
Aren't they just the best!!!?:yelclap:

I've just had a look on Ebay and if the company you're thinking of buying from is Kids-Comfort-De, their feedback score is 100% and they've had almost 3000 transactions on ebay and have been a member since April 1999...don't think you could get much better than that.

Actually K I would prefer to call myself the thread life saver  as this thread was well and truly dead when I posted my vital life saving comments:D hahahahhahahahah
Ok firstly thanks Mamaduke for looking into the company for me (as this is the one I was looking at:) )
Secondly K they are brand new:thumbsup:
Lastly I am thinking of asking my sis who is a flight attendant (and flies to Germany alot) to check out the cost of the Quinny over there to compare it with ebay etc.
If its the same price or cheaper (wishful thinking!) I will beg (we arent exactly best friends at the moment, so it could be tricky!) her to get it for me to save $ on the postage!!!
Hmmmm now for the colour.....I suppose if your getting red or lime K then I better get black or Hot pink????
Only joking Im not that PC HA!!!!
Ill probably get the black as like Mamaduke said it doesnt date.....but then again it is such a shame to have such funky colours available and not get one!
Ok maybe Ill get the orange or red very striking?
K are you going to get one?
Sxx
ps no need to thank me for reviving this little thread, the pleasure was minexx

I want to get along to DJs and check one out with Ry in it first - his legs are a bit too long for the current stroller, I just want to make sure he fits okay.
We've got a black stroller now, and a greyish/black 3 wheeler. If I get one, I'm going RED ! Its time to make a statement !:D
I'll hustle to the store this week and check it out !:D
Oh, and most importantly S, you're a nut !:D :hugs:

LOL yeah I got my sis to pick us up a couple of quinny's  yours is RED NOT!!!
But seriously I think its worth the wait as O picked out this huge mailbag with who else but winnie the pooh and tigger (tiggi) on it:D
So dont be disappointed when you get this huge bag and only a very small gift:o
I had a hard time convincing him to hand over the bag at the post office counter:crying: he had a little cry as you do when you say bye bye to "Tiggi"
Hope you have a great day tomorrow!!!
