Hi everyone :)

Just hoping you gals can put my mind at ease. I see my OB on Tuesday but thats 2 whole days away.

I remember cramping with my 1st child and very slight spotting for a day or two around the time of my period, but this time the spotting as been going on for a week.

Are there many other people who have endured this without any future problems or does anyone know how long it can go on for. I am guessing it is implantation bleeding but just want to hear from other mums on the different time spans.

Thanks in advance everyone

Kirsten

With my first i spotted around the same time it lasted about a week and then slowly went away and i went on to have a beautiful healthy little girl.:fingerscrossed: everything works out for you,can be a bit stressful but try to get as much rest as you can and no heavy lifting:thumbsup:

I had spotting at 6 weeks, then heavy bleeding at 7 weeks - woke in the night to a lot of blood, thought I was having another miscarriage, went to my GP the next day, and she said that is sounded like an envitable miscarriage. Went to get an ultrasound 2 days later to make sure everything had 'passed' and I wouldnt need a currette, however nothing had 'passed' at all. There was a baby with a healthy heart beat at 150bpm, and she/he was measuring perfectly....... I havent had any bleeding or spotting since, but I am getting another ultraound in a week and half just to make sure everything is still going ok..... I hope everything is ok with you and you go onto have a healthy baby!!!!

That is what scares the hell out if me, with my second pregnancy, I started bleeding at 9 weeks and it just got heavier and heavier until I lost her at 19 weeks.

I am so trying not to freak at the moment but god its hard. :fingerscrossed: :fingerscrossed:

Thanks everyone for taking the time to reply I know its a tough question as you wonder how much info to really give out and hope the person asking can handle the answer.

I welcome all answers no matter the outcome so thanks again.

Hi Allyoo

It amazes me how many women still have periods while they are pregnant and doctors continue to insist that it is impossible. Thanks for your reply:)

Hi Dawn

Still spotting  and the cramps are just plain annoying

I am sure I will feel alot better once I have seen my ob tomorrow. Unless of course he says sorry no answers have to wait and see.

Don't you hate the waiting game:banghead:

Talk to you tomorrow

O Dawn

I am so sorry, I am so absorbed in myself I forgot to ask how you were going today. (selfish brat I am)

Hope the cramps aren't too bad, and good luck with your gp too.

Kirsten

Hi
I had spotting at 5wk4d with this pregnancy(now nearly 12wks) and with my DS who is now 2yo. It does scare the heck out of you. I had cramping both times and you instantly think its going to be all over. Just remember to relax and take it easy. I hope all goes well for you. Take care and good luck with your appt.

Hi Dawn :yelclap:

Yes and no about the ob visit today.

I have to do some more blood tests tomorrow and then again a few days later to check that my levels are going up. Then when I hit the 6 weeks I have to do an u/s and go back to see him.

He said that it is a little concerning but to try and relax about the spotting. Being realistic theres nothing I can do anyway.

I had a couple of moments today when I thought I was going to ralf which is the first time I have ever experienced morning sickness.

That itself is a good sign as the dr said it means my hormone levels are defintely going up. So :fingerscrossed:

How did you go today with your gp?

Take care Kirsten

HI Kirsten
Glad to hear your news. Hope all goes ok. :hugs: :fingerscrossed:
My HCG went up to 2200+ and other hormones ok(Although need to keep taking pessaries) so don't need to have bloods done till next Mon now. The cramping is bad today like am getting period. Just have to try a relax I guess. I do get a bit of nausea/sicky feeling so have been eating regularly and drinking lots of Fluids.
I feel quite bloated do you have that prob...they say its normal...something to do with the bowel and distention.

What day is your scan?

:) :)
