HI guys:wave:
I have a question, just wondering how long sperm can survive with no mucous? cas hubby and i had lots of cuddles sat night before he left to work away this week and i got the ewmc today so that 3 days from cuddles would the spermies still be alive or would they have died cas there was no cm to carry them?
Ta
From what I understand, sperm will only live in the right conditions, so if there wasn't any mucous, I'd say they didn't hang around.....

Hi,
I've read that sperm can last up to 5 days (source:fertility friend) but not sure if that was in general or under the right conditions - I'm sure if you google it you'll find heaps of answers
Good luck
I'm pretty sure they need the EWCM to survive.

Pretty sure they need at least watery cm to have a chance of survival!!!

Hi,
Found this whilst looking for tips to help us catch the eggie this month and thought it might be of use to you
The few days leading up to ovulation are considered the most fertile in a woman’s cycle. This is because sperm can survive for up to seven days in a woman’s body (on average they live for 3 days). If a woman has sex or insemination during the six or seven days before she ovulates, it is likely that the sperm will still be around by the time her egg is released.
One or two days after ovulation are also considered fertile days because a woman’s egg can live for about 20 hours after ovulation. If two eggs have matured, the second will be released within 24 hours of the first. From a few days after ovulation until her next bleed, a woman is generally not fertile -source is from a UK womans health site.
Happy reading

The general concensus is that they can live UP TO 5 days in perfect conditions...without perfect conditions, its more like 24-48 hours. Without any ewcm or watery cm, chances are slim they would have survived more than a few hours....sorry to be the bearer of bad news...maybe you had fertile cm up there without knowing it?!? :)
