I was just reading some of the movie reviews for the flick "wolf creek' on yahoo movies...but it was the american site. I couldnt believe how much they were bagging this movie out... they were saying stufff like " oh this is such a boring horror flick the director must have tried to copy texas chain saw massacre" & "omg this movie was so boring" So anyway i sent a few of them a msg saying " well gee so sorry this movie wasnt exciting enough for you & not enough killing...maybe we should have made sure there were more people getting killed..& im sure the one's that got killed wernt thinking well gee better make my death as exciting as possible incase they make a movie bout it" OMG i was so mad. These are real people for god sake... its a true story... anyway i shoud have some nasty replies soon  But am i being silly or do you think its mean. I will say i complained about "The excorcism of emily rose" being borring..but that was only cause they hyped it up to be this massive horror flick.

I found Wolf Creek scary - cause of the suspense. I usually find bloody and gory films to be tolerable, but cause you just never knew what was round the corner with Wolf Creek I jumped heaps of times!
Heymama - I wouldn't stress about those reviews... What would American critques know about Aussie films?
I never take what anyone else says about a movie to heart. I have found some really great movies that others havent liked, and some that were suppose to be wonderful---bored me to tears.
I would say you will have a few nasty comments coming your way, a persons opinions are just that. I will say that I havent seen nor heard of the movie you are referring to, but I am American and I have yet to find one Australian movie or TV show that I find entertaining or interesting. DH is Australian and is all the time renting Aussie movies that he has liked and I try watching with him but end up falling asleep most of the time. :o
I dont think Ally will have any nasty opinions coming her way, It was only meant to be a joke. Americans, they just dont get the Aussie sense of humour;)
(oh and lets not forget Canadians:p )
I wasnt talking about Ally getting any comments, but Heymamma getting them due to the message she sent out. Yes the Aussie sense of humor is very different than the American one, but we still loves yall :hugs: .:D

I watched Wolf Creek last week and I thought it was scary. Ive watched plenty of horrors/ thrillers and I think this one was up there. There are plenty of unscary movies out there that are just plain boring. I havnt seen the emily Rose one yet I was going to hire it this week. Im still gonna get it, hope its not as boring as you say it is.

A lot of people think blood & gore are "scary" & the likes & yes if done in the right way it can be but give me a good suspense anytime of the day is the only way im scared !
Bring back the good old days of movies like Alfred Hitchcocks !
Psycho will always be THE all time scary movie
Good on you for having a go though but remember as the others have said the Americans idea of a good movie greatly varies to ours :D
