we all should be able to donate!

I am so dissapointed that I cant donate cord blood here in SA.
We could store it privetly for thousands of dollars but we cant donate it to a blood blank as they don't have one in SA!
How mental is that??? It does my head in to think that there isn't one in every state.. you think they would be trying to get everyones but they are just going to waste.

In vic you can donate but only at certain times of the day. 9-5 (or something like that). It's all a bit silly when only a certain % of babies will be born during those times and not everyone wants to donate, they would be missing out on a hell of a lot of cord blood.
