Ok I've been reading your posts regarding naming days etc and have gleened some awesome ideas... and even though the special day is not until July, I'm so keen to plan and prepare now.
We have alot of family and friends in NZ who will want to come over for it - so I need to do an invitation now to send out asap so they can prepare and save for it. any ideas on what to include?
The plan so far is to have dd's naming ceremony mid-morning followed by a lunch we provide and B'day cake time. Venue at home I think.
Then around 5/ 6pm(still not sure on the time) guests arrive for ds's 16th B'day - There will be speeches first followed by hangi (earth oven food), venue at home too.
Thinking about skirmish/ luna park days before his birthday so he can catch up with his friends and reestablish those old ties.
Yeah i think i just need to keep sharing ideas - I was thinking about a teddy bears picnic for dd but then it will be July and highly likely damp or raining. However we will probably have to get a marquee and chairs etc too
