Hi everyone,

I just wanted to know if anyone has used the find a babysitter.com.au website before for nanny purposes??

Did you find the "right" person and how well did everything go from sending e-mails to meeting etc etc...

Or even if you are a nanny and used that site to obtain work, how did you find it??

Thanks

I'm new to this web site:wave: and I'm a Nanny. I have used that site and from my point of view was no help to me. All I wanted was to advertise weekend babysitting but kept getting offers to be a full-time nanny. I did write to two parents about babysitting but got no reply which was poor:no:. Thats just my experience it might be better from a parents point of view.

There are some other great sites though(and free for parents not just nannies) if your interested but I wont post them here just incase, let me know i your interested.

I use this website and have found it to be fantastic. I advertise and although you get the occasional email that doesnt suit, I just politely reply that the postion they are offering is not right for me. I have found my last 2 families from this site.

I think it seems like a good site. I've used it to try to find work, but I've never been contacted for work.

I've also contacted several parents and either get a polite "thanks, but no thanks" or no response.

But, there is a bit of a glut of Nannies in this area. So maybe that's why. Plus as a Mummy Nanny, I think some parents don't quite see the advantages, only think of the disadvantages. (even though I'm quite a bit cheaper than nannies with comparable experience)

So, from what I can see, its probably a great site for parents, as there are HEAPS of different nannies to choose from, different ages, experience, background, cost etc. At least there is in North Shore in Sydney, I dont know about the rest of aus.
