18 months nightmares

hello everyone
my dd is 18 months and has been waking up screaming its not at any certain time sometimes its just when she wakes up in the morning (she doesnt usually wake up screaming in the morning) but other times its in the middle of the night and shes refuse to get back in her cot and will scream louder if i try but if i nurse her or put her in bed with me shes fine bt as soon as i try to put her back in her cot she screams. i was wondering if it could possibly be that shes having nightmares as the screaming is a very scared scream? and if anyone has any ideas to get her to go back to her cot

p.s. she does have a nightlite and during one of these night wakings she vomited all over me whether this was because of excessive crying or something else im not sure but i thought it might mean something to someone shes not a very vomity kid :barf: :laughing: i like that smiley
