View Full Version : We have wee in the potty!!!

Yay, my little man did his first wee in the potty tonight! :yelclap:

Our strategy was to introduce the potty at about 12 months. It just sits in the corner of our lounge room and Oscar likes to sit on it sometimes.

He wears no nappy a lot of the day and when he wees on the floor we just mop it up and say "Where is your potty?"..."don't forget to use your potty next time."...and then show him the potty.

Anyway tonight he was just doing his own thing, the potty was actually in the bathroom for some reason, he went and got his potty, brought it to the lounge room, sat down on it and did a wee.

We were so excited and he was so proud and kept pointing at it and saying "wee."

We are having similar success with DS ...... i think it helps to just have a potty hanging about the house for them to see and sit their teddys in etc ........

I hope it continues for you .... we have 2 wees on the potty now and an attempt at a poo!

That's fantastic!! I'd like to do a similar thing with Ariene... I think I'll get the potty back out and do some teddy-needs-to-wee-roleplaying :D

That is awesome, it is just so exciting when they finally do that first wee.

I introduced training in the exact same way, and all my kids were really easy to train, hope little Oscar is too.
