Hi there

My nine month old has finally cut her first tooth without us really knowing that it was there. I have been treating her and the rest of us for a bad cold which we must have got from somewhere but I was unable to control the horrible acidic smelling gastric that she had had for over a week.

The tooth cut through and the gastric stopped and so did the runny nose.

It has now started again with her little nose completely blocked and the poo is just truely awful.

I am giving her demazin and neurofen as often as I am able to give it to her.

Has anyone elses bub had these symptoms for teething and anything else I can do to help her out.

I am using a vaporizer at night to help her out.

Helllllllppppppppppp!

Thanks

Hi, my little one who is only 4.5 months old hasn't got the gastric symptoms but now that you mention it he does have a runny nose and sound chesty on and off...I too use a vapourizor. I am assuming he's teething (I posted a thread earlier today - Re Teething or Teeth moving around). I have heard that babies do get runny bowel motions when teething though and there is nothing we can do about that for them. I also use baby balsm (Vicks) for my DS's sniffles which helps. Our poor bubbies, their first year of life seems to be one painful experience after another, they need lots of cuddles....that seems to be the best medicine of all.

Yes my DS has a very very runny bottom  and is congested. One of his top teeth just cut through and I think there may be another one the way.
