Find a listed Company

Does anyone know how to:

find out if a Company is listed
then how much the shares are, and
then how to buy shares in that company?As you might have guessed I know nothing about shares.

Hi,

Some of the major newspapers like the sydney morning herald online, have a section where you can type in the name of the company and press 'search', it will then tell you details about how much the shares were last traded for on the last business day.

Or you can search in the investing/business sections of some banks websites.

If you want to buy shares, you will need a share trading account, which are offered by some of the major banks.

Look under 'listed companies'...
