Hey Darwin girls,

I know the cyclone is not going to hit us directly but the wind out there is getting pretty bad. I hope everyone is ok and i will hear from you guys in the morning. A friend of mine just called and said that the police went into all the pubs and clubs and shut them down. I didn't think that it was that bad out there but maybe it's going to get worse.

Well i'm going to try and get some sleep, goodnight and hope you all have safe night.

Hi Carly hope you got through the other night ok and managed to get some sleep. We are no longer living in Darwin moved back to Brisbane hubby got a compasionate posting. I don't miss the heat or rain one bit though.
How was your christmas and new years get upto anything exciting?

We went down for the 9pm fireworks.

Hey Kristy,

It was pretty scary the other night, we ended up leaving the our house at around midnight and went to a friends. I just didn't feel safe at home anymore especially with all the trees we have in our yard. Anyways good thing we did because a few of our trees fell down not on our house but pretty close. There was a bit of damaged afterwards and alot of suburbs left without power including ours.

We went to Melbourne for christmas it was great to catch up with all our families, glad to be home though. Thats great you got to go back to Brisbane everytime i've been there the weather has been perfect. I hope we get Brisbane for our next posting but that is still a few years off i think.

Did you get to spend Christmas in Brisbane or were you still up here?

wow SIL said the cyclone passed about 100km south of Darwin.

We were in Brissy for xmas, it was great being with family. bet your girls had a blast oh and happy belated 1st b'dya to kaylee.

So what's everyone's plans for 2008?

Well I start work 3 days a week at the end of the month. Jaxon will go into child care one day a week then each of our parents will ahve him a day each.

We are going to TTC in about nov/dec anyone else?? and we are not sure on the house buying in brissy we might buy a investment property just a townhouse further up the coast.

Hubby is going to do another 3 years then possably join the police force.

looking forward to hearing what everyone has planned. oh and loose that weight before we TTC :laughing:
