Hypoallergenic formula-Elecare

Hi,

My baby sons allergy speacialist has recommened I put him on a hypoallergenic formula called Elecare. Has anyone out there tried it or does anyone know anything about it?

I am sorry but i can't give you any info on the formula you are asking about. my bubs is on a hypoallergenic formula but it is Neocate not the same as the one you are asking about.

Where do you get these hypoallergenic formulas from? My bub is sensitive to whey........... :)

Hi there,
I have seen one at the Amcal chemist. I can't quite remember if it was S-26 or Karicare. Could have been any brand but for some reason they stick in my mind. Ask your local Amcal and see what they say. There should be a consultant that knows enough about the formulas to help you. I was lead to believe that these formulas are only any good if the allergy hasn't allready been set off. HAHA as if we know that our little ones are going to react to certain things. I have had 2 with dairy allergies. Lactose and milk proteins.
