What else could this be? I am now 4 days late of a normally very regular and healthy cycle. I have tested 3 times and in the mornings too. They are all BFN!!!!

I am confused though, if I am not pregnant what is wrong with me. Why wouldn't I be getting AF? Could something be wrong with me? I am starting to really panic.

This is the first time we have tried - ever. I understand that may not be pregnanat yet, but where are my AF?

PLEASE HELP! VERY WORRIED.

No, I haven't taken the pill for 3 years.

I just did a morning test and it has a very very very very faint second line. I am not getting my hopes up, but could it be that the hormone in me is getting stronger by the day???

well that sounds promising,if you don't mind me asking what tests did you use? its just that i think i may be pg right now and have done a few hpt's over the last couple of days and 2 were very faint pos and 1 was a complete neg.

Sounds promising!! I did 6-7 pregnancy tests when i was 2 days and 4 days late and only one had a faint line!! All the others came up negative!!

sometimes it can take a few days after your af due for a definate positive, try testing in 2 days it should be darker, or even tomorrow morning, i know how hard it is to wait sometomes.

if your not pg it could be that you didnt ovulate this month if something stressful or big has gone on in your life. i went to doctors af was 17 days late she thought i must be pg, i wasnt but i had just moved.

if your seeing lines it probably means your pg, good luck.

I have been on the pill for the last year and last week AF did not arrive. I am nearly a week late and I have done 3 HPT's and they all come up negative. I do not know what is going on but AF has just disappeared. Doctor told me to do another HPT during the week and if that is negative I now have to wait for AF to come back before I can go back on the pill. Very wierd indeed.

Hmm it sounds promising with the faint positive! I was the same!

But if you aren't preggers, sometimes just the stress of worrying can delay your periods. That happened to me too because I was just so darn excited thinking I would fall the first try!

I went to the dr's today and she gave me another test - I think the tally is 5 now, and it was also BPN!!!!!!!:thumbsdown: :crying:

I have to wait two days and get a blood test done. I should know on Thurs.

It is just so weird. I sort of feel pregnant. But them again, every symptom I am having, could also be a virus, which could also delay AF.

The Doc thought that maybe I ovulated later in the month and therefore am not getting BFP because it is still implanting or something like that. I just hope that whatever has happened is sorted out on Thursday. I am beginning to feel like a detective, trying to map out dates and understand fertilization etc etc etc.

Do you think that the purpose of the torture of waiting, is the universe' way of teaching us to be paitent???

Periods are fussy things. There are a number of normal and ordinary reasons you might be late - stress, illness, virus, depression, dietary changes, medication ...

It's really nothing to fret about. I was clockwork with my periods and I ended up missing a number of them over the years. It'll settle back down soon enough :)

If you are curious about your ovulation days, the best way to figure that out is to buy some ovulation test kits (sold alongside the pregnancy tests in chemists and supermarkets).
