pains or gas?

I am 5 weeks and 3 days pregnant and have been getting alot of pain in my lower abdomen. It feels like a burning sort of pain that I get before my AF, but I also have a lot of gas. Could the pains just be from the gas or could there be something wrong? Is gas really common especially if you have IBS?:)

I had serious gas pain in the first couple of weeks and I initially confused it with something being wrong with bubs.

If you are worried and nothing relieves it then maybe go see your GP, especially if you have IBS which I would think would be effected by a pregnancy

Hi Nicky,

Im 5 weeks and 6 days pregnant and also getting a lot of lower abdominal pain. I had this with Alana also. The doctor told me that it was my tendons/ligaments/muscles stretching that was causing the pain. It feels a bit like period pain to me. If you are worried go and have it checked out by your GP or obstetrician. Hope this helps.

I am 9 weeks.

I gets pains from time to time, especially around that time. I also get pains with gas and I have noticed more of that.

Unless it gets really painful or is associated with blood I wouldn't get too worried.
