You might have strained the muscles around your ribs.

I had similar pain (but higher up) when I separated the cartilage from my ribs (tip, when 7 months pg, not a good idea to push toddler up steep hill in cheap pram at speed). It's very painful and I was immobilised for 2 weeks.

Could be something else though.

Maybe you should go to the docs to be sure. Anything that's painful enough to make you cry ain't worth putting up with.

I get it all the time when your breathing in! I recently had it on my right side and it lasted around 10mns. CM is right and apparently it happens to lots of people.

Yeah sounds like a muscle strain or the likes.

Definately head to your doctor being in pain isnt worth it !

hasnt bubs turned yet?
If not yeah it might be worth looking into, could be what above posters have said about the muscle strain.

it could be a fist instead of a foot attacking your bladder. dd was head down for nearly all of my last pregnancy and she had a really good left hook. this one is the same. i often get a bum up under my right rib and a foot kicking the left one while the fists are boxing the bladder.

it wouldn't hurt to talk to your dr and try kneeling on all 4s with your head lower than your butt. might help bubby to turn.

i know it's her foot attacking my bladder as she has temper tantrims and i mean good ones and i can feel her head up the top too

but what eva the pain is i really would wish it would go away

doesnt sound nice, hope all is well. Maybe the muscle strain (if thats what it is) is irritating that muscle that makes you hiccup (lol I have no idea what its called having a mental blank) hence why you threw up? Hopefully its nothing major. I used to get hiccups alot because of this (and then bubs would get hiccups all the time too making it even worse:rolleyes:)

eta: You might acctually find that what you have been thinking is a head, is acctualy a bum, I thought this til I had an ultrasound at 30 weeks I think? Due to some other issues. DD's bum used to stick right out like a head lol, and she copped me some good punches in the bladder and kicks in the ribs.

Actually it might be a gall bladder issue especially being that its making you throw up !

Also i really wouldnt stress about bubs still not being head down there is plenty of time for her to turn ! But try to encourage her with keeping to your left side & getting down on all fours over an exercise ball or ottoman. I always did this for a few hours while watching t.v of a nite.

I really hope all is well let us know how it all went at the hospy !

well i went to the hospital yesterday and they put the tracker on bub to see how she was and they said she was fine and that her heartrate was perfect
but they couldn't find out what was wrong with me,, so they sent me for blood tests and a ultrasound

well got the bloods done yesterday and im getting the scan done thismorning at 9.30

they said that i could be one of 3 things

1) kidney stones
2) something to do with my bowls
3) something to do with the placenta

but it's really starting to freak me out with some of the stuff they are coming up with

well im going back to slepp for an hour or so
talk to you all after i get back (and hopfully find out whats wrong)

is the pain in your front or back? I remember a couple of times I got excruciating pain in my back which felt like my kidneys.. but it only happend twice so I never followed it up. It hurt worse when lying down and I had to lie on my side for hours to recover. Wonder what that was? Good luck anyway.

Im glad you got it checked.

not to alarm you or anything but rib pain can be associated with pre-eclampsia and or placental insuffienciency which i had both of so its best to get anything like that checked asap.

I just passed it off as my baby moving around and digging her foot into my ribs and i was very wrong. And im lucky i was being closely monitored so we picked up on the problem.

hopefully your fine and it IS just your baby being cheeky

i got the scan done today

i just got home and all the trouble that i have had and still have is

i have torn a heap of mussels over my ribs and that is what is causeing me to be in pain and the throwing up

so now im not aloud to vaccume, washing, bed making or even pushing the trollie in a shopping centre to do shoppin

so they told me the only thing i can do is put my feet up and rest till there is no pain at all
