Hi Birthingbeauty. The June thread is very quiet isn't it? I'm 15 weeks today and counting down the days!

Hey, why don't you get a ticker to help you count down? The ticker link is just under the banner at the top of the page.

Are you enjoying your second trimester?

It has been a bit quiet of late, but i guess thats to be expected around this time of year.

I think im 18 weeks now. My midwife/Dr/scans keep changing the dates. I have a scan in a weeks time, so i'll confirm then.

I'm 15 weeks today!! Time is starting to fly by... in 5 weeks I will be half way through! Eeeeek!

How's everyone feeling??
I've had TERRIBLE hayfever!!! And the chemist I went to said I couldnt take anything. So I have been suffering over the last month or so. Went to a different chemist today and they said there is something I can take! Good grief I have been suffering for nothing!!
The mozzies are also loving me! DS and DH havent got a single bite! I am covered!! These mozzies must love HCG or something!!

I'm 15 wks +1 day today. :smiliedance:

Also can't believe how fast it's flying. And this week I suddenly feel pregnant but GREAT although still tired but if that's all, then I'm stoked! I also suddenly LOOK pregnant too which is a wonderful feeling. I am not looking forward to going back to work on Friday though as back into the work shirts which just make me look normal as they are quite baggy. :(

Fluffball, I've had terrible hayfever too and although I have not yet taken anything, I know there are some things that you can take. I just don't want to take anything at all unless I am absolutely desperate. My mum took an over-the-counter morning sickness drug when PG with me and I was born with club foot so I am just a little weary of ANYTHING (even Panadol - lame, I know!) unless I am DYING. Her Dr said it was safe and you didn't even need a prescription so go figure. I am completely fine now but my baby is at a higher risk so we will be looking for that at the 18 wk scan. It doesn't bother me though because it is such a minor thing these days and easily fixed so no worries. Am just really curious really. I have 2 friends who had babies with clubfoot last year and all good already. Modern medicine does wonders!

:ecomcity: Will stop blabbering now. All the best to all and we're almost half way! YAY!!! :yelclap:

Fluffball, the pharmacist wasn't quite correct - polaramine is a Category A medication, and an antihystamine. The problem with polaramine is that it causes drowsiness, unfortunately!

Claratyne is a Category B1 medication, and non-drowsy - so not as safe, but still pretty good. You obviously have to weigh up the risks and benefits, but if you're really suffering, you have to take your own wellbeing into consideration too. Perhaps have a chat with your GP/Ob/Middie, to see what they recommend - mine recommends I take Claratyne - as little as I can manage (so far I've take 6 tablets - on my VERY worst days), and some polaramine at nights if its getting bad - but not on the days I've taken Claratyne, obviously. The regime is keeping my hayfever at bay (JUST!)

Good luck.

HI All,

I hope that everyone had a safe a happy Christmas and New Year! I'm already looking forward to the next one (For obvious reasons). I am currently 18 weeks + 2 days. I am starting to look pregnant (although some people say I am still tiny- or as my 9 year old niece likes to say, I'm getting fat). I am still suffering from morning sickness every now and again. I had a rough morning yesterday and again this morning. I am really starting to wish that this phase would pass but I guess it is reassuring to know that there is a baby in there. I have booked in for my scan on the 18th January when I will be 20 weeks+ 3 days. I am very much looking forward to it as we will most likely be taking the plunge and finding out the sex.

I suffer from hayfever too, particularly over the last month. I take Polaramine for my hayfever but only if I really need it. I have taken maybe 3 tablets in total from the pack as I only take it if I REALLY need it.

Well I hope all is well and here's hoping the June group gets back to being the lively little bunch that we all are.

Im just over 15 weeks, am loosing my waistline and clothes starting not to fit. Will have to bit the bullet and buy some "fat" shorts on the w/e so I have something to wear, lol.

Being pregnant still seems very surreal at the moment, sure it will become more real as my tummy gets larger, but I felt like this when pregnant with my daughter.

I am 17 weeks and 3 days. I cant believe I am this far along already. Thought it would go really slow but trying not to think about it has helped. I am doing this cause of what happened last time. Not cause I dont want to be pregnant so dont think bad of me.

I am quite big, which is scary. DH says I am huge, bigger than last time. Perhaps I am carrying a girl???

Take care

Hi

I am 15+5 today. Have a round bump and pants starting to get tight to do up. Jeans have been for a few weeks now! LOL

I can't wait till I start showing a bit more and actually look obviously pregnant rather than 'pot bellied'.
