 ladies & bubs,

I trust everyone is well-
and keeping cool. Looks like it's been a scorcher every where.
pretty foul here but the children seem to be coping well.

We have been very busy and just when it will start to dull down- we'll be shearing. No rest for the wicked and all that

I am having some help over shearing though.
I have a carer from the Outback Childcare coming out.
They'll stay here with us and be here for 2 weeks.

I can't wait! :D

not sure where everyone is- or if I'm talking to myself?

I hope everyone's well.

We visited our new niece over the weekend-
she is 1 day off being 5 months younger than Pearl exactly.
I'm sure the girls will be great friends when they're older :)

HAPPY NEW YEAR TO YOU TOO!!

All is well here, Ronan is doing great and I'm thoroughly enjoying spending time with him - hence why I've not been on b/h much!.

All the very best to everyone for a wonderful 2008.:flowerz:

Hi Girls! It sure is quiet in here!!! Happy New Year and stuff anyway:D

We are doing well and ds is just starting to get into a regular sleep routine and just wake once at night:smiliedance:. I am starting to feel so well rested! 2 nights ago he went 10 hours!!! 7pm -5am for a BF! And he is settling well for all his day sleeps now...about 3 1 hour naps is all I can get, but it's better than his old 40 min cat naps from before, so I am happy.

Hard to believe he is already 4.5 months! And I've BF all that time (and it was very hard work for the first 10 wks of it)- yea me. So many people I know have already stopped BF completely. Over 50% of the mothers group. I thought more people would do it longer, with all the benefits of it.:detective:

It is a beautiful morning, so am going to get out far a walk asap!

Well done on the feeding-
doesn't it amaze you when you think your baby has been totally dependent on you and you have supported them this far!

Hi all!

It's been a while since I've been in here...just been clicking on new posts all the time when I bubhub. Maybe we should try and re-vamp this thread for those of us that have stuck around and invite other Aug mum's that weren't here initially to join us. what do you all think? It'd be nice to have regular chats with people who have babies the same age.

Anyway all is well here. We move house at the end of Feb so I should start packing soon! A is growing like a weed, and reaching milestones far quicker than her big sister did. I wish she'd slow down! DH doesn't know if he wants anymore so if she is my last she has to stay a baby!

We are nowhere near sleeping through the night here but I don't care (no really I don't). Last week we were up until 4.10am. It's not usually that bad but anything from 1-3 or more wake-ups is normal. I just go with the flow....she slept better as a newborn! On really bad nights I generally just put her in our bed, but around 5am she gets really restless cause she wants to be in her cot again. She has eczema which was E's first sign of food allergies so I have cut out eggs, dairy, fish and ham (ham was the culprit for last weeks night owl) and haven't had nuts for the longest time now and her eczema has improved greatly...not gone completely but we are treating the rest externally as it's not bothering her and my paed is worried I'll disappear if I cut anything else out. Hopefully she'll just grow out of them as her gut matures but at least I know more this time after being through it with E.
But she is the happiest baby ever! She just smiles constantly!

PKbub - bf'ing is the best isn't it? Even with all my diet restrictions there's no way in the world I'd give up bf'ing. I told DH that if A is our last baby she can self wean. It's such a special relationship, and it's so convenient!

Ok that's enough babble. What do you think about re-starting this group?
