View Full Version : Favourite Covers for Cloth
I'm looking for a quality inexpensive cover to go over my flats for everyday use.. I've ordered a few nice/dearer ones now I want some for around the home that will wash and wear well, without leaks.
I've also noticed some of the nicer ones dont mention they can be used over flats, but can be for prefolds, is there any reason for that.
So whats your favourite cover?
tia :D
Learn to knit  I love my woollies. I started off buying them, but then learnt to knit through the site: knittinghelp.com
Very easy to do! And cheaper than constantly buying them.
Plus woollies are a really low maintenance cover. Only need to be washed when dirty, relanolised every 6 or so weeks (longer if they are still going strong), and aired overnight while you use another. They do need care when washing (hand washing recommended). But when you only need to do this every couple of months it's not that bad!
I also use Berry Plush AI2's as a cover without the insert. These are a show stopper as far as looks goes, but I find they get a bit smelly if used a couple of times before needing to be washed. These can just be chucked in with anything for washing.
I've used Baby Beehinds Pul for almost a couple of years. These are a good, no fuss cover. I also have a couple of the BB wool wraps that are wonderful.

Thanks.. not interested in woolies, I learnt how to knit about 25yrs ago :D lordy thats showing my age rofl..
I've got some berryplushes on the way.. The Baby Beehinds Pul are capturing my attention atm..
thank you for your input :smiliedance: I didnt realise there was so much out there, its changed a bit from the old pvc pilchers we used when I had my first bubba 14yrs ago.
We used Bummis Super Whisper Wraps when Katherine was smaller and now have Baby Beehinds PUL covers, along with some Jaime's fleece covers and lots of woolies and sewn wool covers.
The bummis super whisper are my favourite:yes:.
I love my Bummies PUL covers, Tots Bots fleece covers and my wonder wrap one size PUL covers .

I have only used tot bots, chloes toes and flleece so far. The tot bots and chloes toes work well with flats, seem to hold them on really well

I really love Mother-Ease airflows for a PUL cover  Side snaps are harder for my toddler to undo :D I have Beehinds PUL's too but only for under trousers because he can undo the Aplix.
Also, Chloes Toes AI2's can be used as a cover without the snap-in's (same principle as the berry plush) I got mine from Nappies Covered.

I like Tots Bots, they are good for over flats.
Baby Beehinds are a great cover but IMO they aren't the best to go over flats, maybe if you bought a big size maybe, not sure.
i didn't use covers much at all, but when i did it was either fleece ones that i made or wool soakers/shorties. fleece was better with flats as flats are more prone to poo blowouts (ie the only poo leaks we ever had was in flats!) and i hate getting poo out of wool!
Thanks everyone!!!!:D
I've also ordered some Mother-Ease Airflows they looked like they would be a nice fit, so it seems I'm on the right track rofl..
I cant wait to get them all now.. :yelclap:

Im a huuuuge fan of the Tots Bots PUL cause they have a gusset that contains the worst of poo explosions ! Trust me i have a reflux baby
Otherwise i do love Bummis cause they are super cute & Tots Bots fleece are great too ....
Another line of thinking if you are willing to go this path is that you can buy the likes of Green Kids pockets & use them as a cover while bubs is a newbie & then they are your wonderful pocket nappy for when they are older ! These are a great all round nappy so certainly worth it IMO !
