I'm hoping to avoid stretchmarks as much as possible this time around, I only got a small handful on my belly in the last few weeks, but that's still to many for me!
I read that zinc, and vitamins C, E and B help to prevent them, does anyone know any other tips?
I'll try anything, I know genetics play a part, but my Aunt didn't get ANY AT ALL and the rest of us did. :(
So I'll try anything!

I think its genetic to be honest or luck of the draw, but i never used anything just made sure i moisturised my belly with a basic sorbelene cream and i only have a few which are only white so not really noticable. My sister who is smaller than me is riddled with purple ones after one baby from boobs to belly, my other sister has none (wellmaybe a few on her stomach but hardly anything noticable either) after 3 kids, my mum who had 6 kids, although shes a size 18 hers are quiet minimal as well.
I often wondered how some people from the same family got heaps when others didnt so figure its just one of those things unfortunately.

Tha's what get me too, I went from a size 10-12 to a size 16, and my Auntie went from a size 10 to a size 20 something, yet I'm the one with stretchies!

I use the body shop coco butter and swear by it. I am currently pregnant with no3 and are using it already and I'm only 12 weeks, I start early and lather myself front to back in it including my boobs as well, and have no stretch marks to date with either pregnancy. Could be genetics I don't know but it's worth a try.
Good luck let me know how you go

Is thathe cocoa butter stick? I used that too, it definitely made my tummy feel softer, and bubs loved kicking it when I rolled it over my belly :bee:
I've been using bio oil for ages because of all my scars, I just started using it as a face moisturiser too, mmmmm
I'll give anything a go, I love bio oil anyway, so any excuse to get some more!
I know there's another belly oil, but I can't remember what it's called...:detective:
lol Punks I know, when she talked to bubs dad after he was born, he's like "so what do you look like now" and she says "Well I'm about 100 kilos heavier than when you last saw me!"
She didn't really care though, she's lost HEAPS of weight now we're both back in our size 12's :D
I used the Body Shop Cocoa Butter stick too! My big three tricks to try and not get stretch marks were good nutrition, lots of water and that Cocoa Butter stick. I was never sure which one it was that helped me not get a single stretch mark so if I ever got pregnant again I wouldn't take any one out of the equation!

Sounds like THE WAY TO GO!
Does anyone know of a pregnancy eating plan? It's just that I'm **** at resisting junk food when I don't have something to follow!

yep ive been told by more than one doctor that it all comes down to your skin type/genetics.
but drinking lots of water keeps your skin hydrated and stretchy so i think thats a winner...
i used bio oil religiously but still have stretchmarks- mainly the ones on my hips that were already there have just gotten longer, but i have a couple just starting to show on the bottom of my tummy...bio oil did nothing to stop them...
my mum was the same with all of us- just a few on bottom of tummy, so maybe its genetics
